The interviewers are Flo and Eddie, who were in the Turtles, and later performed with Frank Zappa. They were more peers with David, than interviewers.

quite right - the reason he sounds arguably curt esp. when emphasizing or correcting on the details is because he's speaking with his peers, not a reporter.

the interviewers are so damn obnoxious, trying to answer their own questions. this man has so many amazing things to say. i didnt come and watch this interview to hear what the reporters had to say, i came to hear what david had to say. but like always, david always knows how to deal with shitty interviewers. brilliant!

Why does the guy on the left insist to interrupt bowie when he was giving valuable answers that we care?

  • @1Elkthorn

What made these reporters think I want to listen to them? What made them think they were any part of the conversation? How come they couldn't let Bowie answer their questions himself? Clearly trying way too hard to have a "moment"of connection with Bowie. Rule #1 when conducting an interview; after asking the interviewee a question give them time to answer it, DO NOT ANSWER FOR THEM and DO NOT TRY AND FINISH THEIR SENTENCES. This is one of the worst Bowie interviews I've seen to date.

Flo and Eddie From The Turtles, Also former members of The Mothers of Invention, Frank Zappa's Band. They've Both Inspired eachother in the past. Its Amazing that this footage came forward. Im Hyped to see this Piece of Rock n Roll History.

+Rich AAA You're right - they are noteworthy musicians in & of themselves. I'm a huge Zappa/Mothers fan. Nonetheless, IMO they gave a rude interview, interrupting Bowie continuously & not listening to his responses to their Q's.

@Yoman83 gaga I never said they were german? I did assume they were reporters since it was taken from the cbc archives. Regardless, they are doing a horrible INTERVIEW of Bowie. It is not a discussion, its an interview. Do your own homework. Even if it was a discussion, they still keep interupting Bowie and not letting him finish answering the questions they ask him. And 'NO' they are all not legends.

    • @richaaa9587

Have you heard The Slider (T.Rex)?? or Hungry Heart (Bruce Springsteen)?? Like i said Butthead DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! Its almost useless to try and make a point with idiots like you. these interviewers are incredibly annoying - they would ask a question, Bowie would start to answer then they would interrupt him.

  • @radmcnammit9001

Why does David have to keep interrupting the interviewers? He keeps rudely butting in with answers to their questions. If he had just kept quiet the interviewers wouldn’t have had to keep talking over him! I mean, who does he think he is? LET THEM ASK THEIR QUESTIONS DAVID!

    • @Anita_nndm

Please, remember that They were interviewing David, he wasn't interviewing them. They asked him, but they didn't let him answer all he wanted to say. Who interrupted?

Diễm My Um, I believe Rad McNammit was being sarcastic. I don’t care who those guys are, or whether it was an interview or a discussion, they were just plain rude in trying to talk over David and not letting him finish his answers. Good for David in barreling ahead anyway to get his answers out. I mean, presumably those two guys cared enough about speaking with David to ask him questions in the first place. I wish they’d have curbed their egos long enough for him to be able to answer properly. And they are NOT legends of the same caliber as David or even peers on the same level. How long were the Turtles around, anyway? And do most people even know who the individual members were? Nope, not even close to the status of David Bowie! RIP David. I sure miss your genius on this earth! I’m sure there’s a fabulous rock concert going on in heaven with all the greats who’ve passed on. Ronno, Freddie Mercury, John Lennon, George Harrison, Tom Petty...just to name a very few. ❤️
