45:09 Yes you don’t have to pay heat to boost. But you still have to draw cards as usual until a speedometer is revealed and add the number to your total speed. This ALSO increases your Speed value for the purpose of the Check Corner step.
In addition, I think the boost would have to be a random speed value drawn from the deck as well, increasing the risk even if one heat had been left. Simply adding 1 can be done thanks to adrenalin, if in the last or second to last spot.
Great video for a great game! Youre wrong about Thunder Alley though, its a fantastic game and genius design! Highly interactive while still perfectly fitting the realistic theme of racing!
@ its different for sure, a very unique way to handle rackng but so perfect for stock car racing. But we cant all enhoy the same things, im just messing with you :) I do love that game though, as well as Heat!
@44:20 you boost after taking the corner (speed 5). Although the boost is free due to zone of the track, doesn't it influence your corner speed? You went with speed 5 through a 5 corner and now boost +1. Should you pay heat for that? (which you don't have)
Minor error setting up the game. The -1 road condition should have been on the 4 corner not the 3 corner. It's best to setup a condition at all the corners. Once you confirm they are all set THEN move the Sector Effects from the corners to their straight aways.
I know I’m late to this video but I have a rules question. On the “3” corner with the -1. Does that make it a “2” corner? If so, should the legends all be moving through that corner at 2+the card?
Nice playthrough. Just one note: At approx. 0:45 and approx. 1:14 you did not "boost" correctly. You only advanced 1 extra space, however you are supposed to draw until you get a speed card and progress that many spaces. (Just like the stress cards)
why in every video I've seen of this game, there is a counting error?! LOL *facepalm* I'm glad there are lots of play through videos tho, I didn't learn about this game until it was already sold out.. so I'm impatiently waiting for a copy so I can finally enjoy it myself. Thanks for the video!
1:07:38 "I could have played my other 3, but I was worried"..... HUH? My man, you totally flubbed that... You played a card to up the corner by 1.. making the corner a 7... if you played the 3 and 1 with that card, your turn would have been a 7... thus making the corner with zero heat. Don't over think things :) You had a good plan, and over thought yourself out of the optimal move.

Thank you very much for this very nice playthrough! It's great hearing you plan things out.

To be fair I only played it the once but I hated that play 😀

Thanks Tom, you explained the bots so well. Cheers 🍻

Yeah it should cost heat
erm, around 29:45, you played 6+3+2+2 aiming for a total of 12. However, those cards total 13. Can you choose to not go as far as the cards show?
No. You must go the full distance. He noticed this error eventually and corrected it.
Yeah, just a counting error 🙂

I missed this one live but it looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for the playthrough
So much fun! Definitely doing more 🙂

Yes. It would be a "+2" to the Legend movement

Thanks Kyle! Thought it was just one extra space for some reason 🙂
great run
Thanks!
Are the bots not affected by the slower cornerning?

There’s a lot going on streaming anything really 🙂
this game looks very interesting
It’s very good!
@52:24 yes you did already, you cooled twice
Thanks! It happens :)
Minute 29 you say your speed is 12 but you played 13 points.
"race 1 of 1961" - wow you've got a lot of races to complete 😂
Plenty of room for expansions!

The only thing missing is
