And a tin of corned beef is a great shelf stable stand by that you can make a meal with. Corned beef hash, corned beef and potato pie, rissoles, twice cooked corned beef, onion and and cheese baked potatoes.

I put a bit a salsa in my hearty soups. It really kicks up the flavor.
It's also good in macaroni and cheese.
Eggs, flour , butter, frozen vegetables, sugar, tea, my list goes on and on lol

We don’t have a really tree, just a little artificial one.
We make our own reefs and table decorations .
I’m not buying any plastic this year and I haven’t even got any at all for my son (Lego doesn’t count) as it’s so sustainable x x

Dark chocolate is apparently good for iron - my preference over spinach! I seldom have desserts, but a square or two of a good dark chocolate after a meal goes down very nicely😊.

Hello Jane from Australia ! . I’m a new subscriber and I love your channel so far ( I must admit this is the first video I’ve watched of yours because I only found your channel bel earlier today ) I must have e to binge watch some videos .
My staples / must haves are tea , chocolate , rice, pasta , tinned corn and or frozen corn cobs , stock cubes and or liquid stock . Gravy powder , frozen onion already chopped as I have physical disabilities and it is cheap and easy for me and no waste from the onion skins and no chopping if I’m not up to it . Also with fresh things : milk, cheese , butter , fresh mini pizza bases for a quick dinner and bacon ( I do r use much bacon though ) . These are a fair few basics but I could make plenty of meals from those ingredients . I would add : pasta , long life cream and mustard , vegan aioli ( im allergic to eggs !) and one last thing tinned fruit .

Hi Jane your rubber plant looks really healthy as do all your plants, what is your secret? I have soooo many plants most healthy but I’ve lost a few lately. Jane I’m a vegan and I loved cheese but I use nutritional yeast and the vegan applewood and cathedral cheese which are really good alternatives. Peace 🧚
I'm a bit hit and miss - my spider plants have some sort of bug! The rubber plant is great though. I repotted it in the summer and water/feed it weekly and it's easy

For the iron you don´t need spinach. It has less than 1 mg per cup wenn prepared (if raw about 2,5 mg per 100 g). But I love the taste of spinach too :)
