You certainly need an offroader like Thar or Gurkha and not the city car for these sort of adventures! Please do change your car, with ALL TERRAIN TYRES AND ALLOYS of 18 inches at best, you can explore many many places in the same region, including Umlingla Pass! and drive to Rishikesh from that side, a very adventurous streach. Please take DIAMOX before you reach high altitude AT LEAST 5 days BEFORE, daily one tablet, take this Diamox until you leave high altitude places completely, take care of your health and good wishes. Try Lahaul Spiti. Through, Kalpa, Tabo, Kaza. It's fascinating. U will enjoy. May also visit Sangla, Chitkul in between, need to plan properly. But it's must visit destination.

You can try Saputara,Gujarat or araku and Vizag ,Sikkim, for Holiday at this time in july, and If you are back in Bengaluru , u can try Chikmagalur,Mullayingri,Dandeli, during monsoons .If you want to enjoy the drive with sunrise and beach on the side you should try the ECR not the Chennai to Puducherry , even that is ok,but the ECR from Ramanathapuram to Vailankanni , It is world bank funded road (two lane)with the road being parallel to the sea sometimes as close as 100m. it is my views and thoughts.Upto to you all .How are Pixie s Pups doing?
