      I had some issues years ago with that too, but the water was simply too "hard" (contained to much calcium) ^^ Boiling it and filtering it helped a lot for me :D

      Well I am not really a polygel kinda girl XD Since I only work on natural nails and prefer them to be thin :3 But I could try it out on my practice hand once! Do you have any suggestions on good brands I could use? :D

      @@femketjeNL that would be awesome 💖 gershion or burano. They are good brands nailed by nikki and long hair pretty nails said they were good mine coming is from gershion. A marble look or encapsulated water decals/glitter would be so cool from you your videos are amazing 😁

    l love this but please tell me more about how to do it because I have been trying it and I can't get it what kind of polish will I use and water hot or cold water did I need to add anything else into the water please let me know because I love it so much

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boil the water on forehand and let is cool down to room temperature, you can also filter it but for me it's not really needed since there's already a filter in my water heater :) Any nailpolish can work, but the really thick ones don't spread out that nicely. I love to marble with brands like opi, china glaze, essence cosmetics and catrice cosmetics.

  • @NashiTutorials
    @NashiTutorials 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi! Cute! I think there's no need to redo a watermarble design, you can apply rhinestones or foil!

    • @femketjeNL

      What exactly happened? Usually the trick is to work super fast 😊

  • @adeleclarke2956
    @adeleclarke2956 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, I've given this a try tonight but my colours wasn't spreading in the water. The 1st one did but subsequent blobs, just stayed as blobs. Any ideas???? Thanks xx

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What type of water did you use? I always use cooled down boiled tap water (room temperature), and sometimes even filter it as an extra step. You can also use bottled water, as long as it's room temperature :)

    • @adeleclarke2956
      @adeleclarke2956 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@femketjeNL I tried cooled boiled water first. Then tried both warm tap water and then cold tap water. The 1st colour drop spread but then the others stayed as blobs 😞. Will try again tomorrow with bottled water xx

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... that is strange. What about the polishes? Sometimes nailpolishes won't marble well either. You could try using the boiled cooled down water with some different polishes too, then you know for sure if it's the water or not :)

  • @papeya
    @papeya 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I can get behind filtering, but what is the purpose of cooking the water first?
    And my nail polish is always drying withing 3 seconds or so, do you think it will help to use warm water?
    I also like that you use random patterns, I prefer it vastly over those repetitive heart-shaped ones

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cooking it first cleans and clears the water even more from calcium and minerals like that (those can cause your polishes to not spread that nicely), here in the netherlands it helps just a bit since we already have super good and "clean" tapwater, but it can help loads in countries where tapwater is less "pure" XD I hope you understand what I mean haha :3
      Using warm water will make the polish dry even faster (nailpolishes also dry faster when you are in a warmer room etc), so I'd stick to 21 degrees celcius at most (roomtemperature).
      Thank you so much for watching Lisa :) I hope I've answered your questions!

    • @papeya
      @papeya 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@femketjeNL but.. minerals don't evaporate.. right? In theory all that should happen in increasing the concentration of minerals as the water around it evaporates.

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The minerals stay in my cooker, in dutch they call it kalk aanslag, and that clings into the cooker. There's a filter in it that prevents a lot of the minerals to be poured into the cup. It helps a lot for me, I'm not a scientist but boiling it just makes the polishes spread out better than if I wouldn't boil the tapwater first :)

    • @femketjeNL
      @femketjeNL  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Room temperature, about 19 to 21 degrees celcius. I boiled it the day before using it and just let it cool down on its own :)
