When you buy your seeds, buy from a reputable seed company that will have a seed mixture for your specific area. 100% native seeds no fillers. Looking great so far! Loving your channel.
I literally paid landscapers to take a sod cutter to my entire yard to get rid of this bs. They went several inches deep. it's been 2 weeks it's ALREADY BACK. Obvi we didn't go deep enough!
I tried this cardboard method on my St. Augustine grass a few years ago but without digging it up, just cardboard, and it worked great!! I made sure I had 3 layers because that grass is a bitch to get rid of!! I didn't want to use any chemicals because I free range a handful of chickens and I didn't feel like eating roundup laced eggs!!
St. Augustine is what I have on the side of my house and the cardboard worked like a charm on it. Bermuda is a whole different situation with those rhizomes tho
@@AlvinC-sz3li what do u mean how long did I cover it? I never removed it just put dirt on top of it and let it decompose naturally and threw some seed on it.
'Earth is my planet' at the beginning and at the end of the videos have surely grown on me. 😆 ❤️
That bermuda that grew was from the roots you didn't remove initially. They go down several feet.
You'd have to go down 18-24" to get all the Bermuda grass roots.
Love how your dogs just hang out with you as you work❤
I like that little gray dog's stub tail in the time-lapse. 😂
Hey Paul! Love it when you post. Can’t wait to see the yard in the summer.

Waited long for a video so thank you sir 🫡
I appreciate the patience! Life’s been hectic lately!
say no to lawns.. paul so real for this one
Whew !! You go !! need you at the old home homestead to plant fruit trees and garden. 😊❤
I know, I need to see what y’all have going over there!
So I have learned to dig up more soil and put straw in strips and water the heck out of it’s self irrigating. After you kill everything.
Ayee looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Me too! I can’t wait!
been following your channel for a few months now and guess what, we're back to square one. lol
I applaud you!! Wow!! You keep me motivated!!
It was a lot of work but needed to be done!! I’m excited to plant into it!
great video Paul!
The dog the second you put the cardboard down. 😂
I almost spilled my coffee when Jamie Kennedy popped up. lol
That was a lot of work, digging all that grass up. Great idea using the cardboard and leaves to block out the grass.
Thanks coach!

Yeah, it took 2 attempts but now the Bermuda is out. I’d just dig deep where it popped back up unless it’s everywhere
Early Gang 🌱🪴
This is classic case of having too much knowledge and not enough experience
Ha i have that jumping over plants and running several feet, not inches. Must be our special florida kind! 😬 I enjoy your videos, great job!
Yeah, it’s some crazy grass. Hopefully I handled it
Broooooooh you are busy💪💪💪💥💥✌️💯
I stay gettin it!! Haha
Nice video!
Bermuda will grow through all mulch even if it’s 2 feet deep and covered with landscape fabric. I know from experience
greetings!
Nice hat!
Appreciate ya governor!

Ayeee I’m early early 🤣
Let’s goooo!!
GENIUS
Oh - beware of putting Bermuda grass stolons into your compost pile - the seeds get killed but the stolons might survive.
They actually go 12-24” deep. Pretty sure it’s gonna come back with a vengeance….
Bro said I’m gonna dig it out so I don’t have to use poison! Proceeds to spray poison along the edges 😂
I mean does it really need explaining that’s there’s a difference in spraying an entire yard and the sliver of an edge?
That dang grass is a problem here in ohio too
I truly hate Bermuda grass.
It’s good for soccer fields and nothing else
