Audrey-Anne I don't really get what you mean? Sam's accent is still there it's just softer, Richard is from Glasgow I believe so his natural accent is thicker. They both change them for the show as their characters are from the Highlands.
I'm just saying that to my ear, Sam's accent is much thicker in the show than in interviews, while Rick's accent is almost the same. Obviously that was not meant as an insult to anyone, nor the actors or the fans, and I'm French Canadian so not necessarily used to differenciating accents from these parts. I was just coming from a good place of adoring his accent, it reminds me of watching the show so much.

It would have been interesting to interview a man at the conference that hadn't read the books! Being a male fan myself, I really feel Starz needs to do a better job marketing to a potential male audience. A few guy friends I've introduced the show to end up really liking it, and some have even moved on to reading the books!
I agree! My husband wasn't sure if he would like it but agreed to watch with me and after the first episode was hooked! A lot of the male coworkers I have also got into it after my recommendation. Starz needs to step up their marketing of Outlander in general! It's sorely lacking!
