      The lighting must have been too strong. But I honestly think your future is just as bright-especially if you use the same lighting I did.

    I'm going to try reading the script and listening again to see how much I understand without subtitles. Which means I'll read/listen to this 3 times total. I'm curious - how many times do you listen to/read a foreign language podcast?

    • @koreaneldo
      @koreaneldo  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      First, it depends on how much time I can invest and how interesting the podcast is to you, Paul. However, my recommendation is to move on to the next episode if you can understand at least 70% of the content without the script. If you find the content enjoyable and not boring even after listening multiple times, I recommend challenging yourself to understand 100%!

      @ It’s been a while since I relistened or reread content to learn better. Back in the day (I’m old) I had no choice because there wasn’t much content. Now there is too much 😂. I’m not going to do this with everything but I think I will pick some podcasts or books to reread 3-4 times. I don’t think I will learn the new words otherwise.

    You need to forgive people of being ignorant of where you live. Sure everyone knows the US but if I say Boston or Arizona (the two places I've lived) many people have no idea where they are. It helps me practice my foreign languages explaining it to them though lol.

      Explaining about the area you live in could also be a good speaking topic!

    I'm french, i learn korean too since 2 years with a korean teacher and alone. I majored in languages too in a master Lea, i studied english, italian and chinese. I studied 6 month in China in 2015 at Beijing university and i did abroad internship in Italy too and China.
    But in my university, they didn't have korean lessons, if my university had korean, i would choose to study korean instead of chinese haha.
    So i learned korean alone at first but i gave up because i didn't understand korean grammar then i took a korean teacher and now i'm at intermediate level and i can study korean alone too

      Hello! Wow~ That’s amazing! You can speak a total of four languages! What do you think is the biggest characteristic of Korean compared to other languages?

    • @newjeansfan238
      @newjeansfan238 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @koreaneldo The grammar, a lot of complex grammar in korean! French is known for complex grammar but i think korean grammar is more difficult than french lol.
      A lot of similar grammar rules in korean with à lot of nuance but means same thing like "because" on english there is only "because", in french just 2 words: "parce que, car" and in korean, a lot of grammar rules that means "because" lol.
      The easiest is chinese because there isn't really grammar, easy sentence with simple words but the difficult part of chinese is their 4 tons and pronunciation, i still can't do perfectly chinese tons pronunciation.
      In french, there isn't pronunciation tons.
      And difficulty of pronunciation of korean vowel but also consonants, for example 오 and 어, in french we have only one "o" sound, not 2.
      And in french, eau (means water) sounds the same as o. Eau, o, au, eaux = sounds the same, it's same.
      In french, we don't have 의 sound etc.
