I've always loved the Legion of Superheroes too. One of my first comics given to me were older late 70's early 80's stuff. Imagine my surprise when I put it together that the Legion and the Superguardians are the same thing.
I constantly use Gladiators weakness of mind that can lower or raise his strength level when coaching to tell people in training don't be like Gladiator and let your lack of confidence cause you strength and the ability to go all out. be confident in yourself and give your 2 hours of training everything you have
That little bit 3 minutes in about Strontia and the Strontians just reminded me of the Viltrumites especially seeing them arrive in numbers. They value honour and duty above all else similarly to how the Viltrumites value Strength as their most important trait. That Wraith plague aswell just like the Scourge virus!
It's good that you talked about the Shi'ar empire and the Imperial Guard, since they had little exposure in media unlike the Kree and Skrull empires, in addition to its characters

Hey there Merry Marvelite. I just stumbled upon this video and wanted to say that it was absolutely awesome. I really enjoyed the information that came out of this video dealing with Gladiator and The Imperial Guard. I only say this because of the fact that I really don't know a lot about them, except for the fact that they were shown in the X-Men comics and animated series. I also have to admit that the information that you presented in this video about the characters from The Imperial Guard reminded me a lot of members of The Legion of Superheroes from the DC Universe, which in my opinion is actually really cool and with great information and videos like this. Well, let me say that I am definitely looking forward to seeing more videos from you as a new subscriber to your channel.
Actually he was based in the legion Superboy (which was Superman when young while time traveling to the future) XD Instead, Hyperion and Sentry are based on him (among others)
Nah. Marvel really doesn’t have a Superman. Aside from similar powers they’re too different personality and role wise. I mean all of them, even most incarnations of Hyperion end up being quite different from Superman.
What was up with the Smashers and their Exospex like are they similar to the Nova Corps? Is Izzy Kane with the Exospex similar to Richard Rider with the Nova Helmet?
Can you do history of the characters mentioned in this video? Are you going to do history of others from the Shi'ar empire like Vulcan, Lilandra and Death bird?

Going into FF #249 (or was it # 250?) to give a little more explanation as to how Gladiator's power works would have been a good idea, and more to the point how to combat it. Gladiator is ridiculously powerful, basically the "Superman" of Marvel without saying so. (OK, I didn't come up with this, someone else did... and they're right, Gladiator was Byrne's version of Superman for the MCU.) Another good bit of MCU (Marvel Comic Universe, not the now crappy Marvel Cinematic Universe) history would have been the FF story where Galactus was basically sucking in the whole freakin' universe... Gladiator joined the FF, Thor, and Iron Man, and suffice to say Gladiator is made of sterner stuff than pretty much all of the others combined. (Provided, of course, he doesn't lose confidence.) Which raises the question: Just how powerful is this muldoon??? Kinda like Kal El (Kal'ark, or whatever, lol, c'mon... a little too on the nose?!), this dude is almost as powerful as you want him to be... he's a "McGuffin", an all-powerful adversary that serves only to stop something that otherwise wouldn't necessarily be stopped by the mainline MCU characters. (*One glaring difference would be when Gladiator lost a short battle to Cannonball, Sam Guthrie... Gladiator thought he would crush Sam, but found out Cannonball wasn't a pushover, and lost his mojo, lol.) All in all, the story of Gladiator is interesting, but nothing that could really be explored (try as they might)... take him for what he is, and enjoy. ;}
Can you do history of Ironheart, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Arno_Stark Iron Man, Squirrel_Girl, Constrictor, Deathlok, Amadeus_Cho, the Griever, Pepper Potts AKA Rescue and the Agents of Atlas along with Crescent, Morgan_Le_Fey, White Fox and Luna Snow?

Great video, I’m still just curious about something. Are the guardsmen supposed to be mutant of their respective species (like the Ginyu force or even the X-men themselves) or are their gifts common in all their races and they are just the strongest of their people?
