I am as well, I was really hoping that it would have lasted longer., It is still going though, even if I have had to modify it quite a bit to keep it going.
I would be fine having to replace them if it took longer than two months for it to break loose, or if the replacements were not half the cost of the unit. Really unfortunate setup.
I was thinking of buying one to wring flanel robes and blankets… but I’ve changed my mind after having heard that yours had been broken after 2 months.
Blankets are one of the worst things to put thru this to be honest, the thicker something it, the looser you have to make the rollers, and the less water that gets squished out unfortunatly.
For $160 current price, I'd expect a warranty. Checked their website and they charge $10 a year for extended warranty. There was no clear indicator of what the standard warranty is, if any.
I tried emailing them about it an never heard a response, so just gave up. We actually just got a washer and dryer setup a couple of weeks ago so have been able to stop using this unit now. I am pretty torn about the whole thing, as it broke so quickly, but I was able to patch it together and we did laundry by hand for more than a year.
Mine was delivered about 2 hours ago for my off grid RV long term trip laundry setup with a breathing washer, a pair of 5 gallon buckets and this thing. I do NOT want to have to use a laundromat somehwere between Texas and Alaska... Something I am wondering about though, there is a 1 year warranty for issues just like the roller problem. Did you try to get a warranty repair or replacement? After 1 year I would consider just using something like E6000 silicone craft glue as that stuff works miracles, but might not be to your liking...
I tried emailing them about a warranty, and never got a response. I did try some Amazing Goop to stick the thing back together, but there are a couple of issues. It is really hard to get the inside of the soft part of the roller completely clean for adhesion, and the knurling on the metal bar is so small as to be almost non-existant so there is very little there for the glue to hold on to. The friction fit of the nylon strap in between them held for the rest of the time that we used it, but I am glad to be done with it now. It did end up working for us for over a year, but there have been a lot of issues with no support from the company, which was disappointing.
Honestly it has been outside the entire time we have had them, and that probably does have something to do with it coming loose, but we have heard from several other folks that have had them indoors and they came apart for them as well, so I dont think that it all of it.
I am a little surprised that the roller stopped working so quickly for how much this costs, and how much the replacements are.

I was told they wear out and you need to replace. I agree for the price it should hold up.

Turned out great ⭐️

How many clothes do you run in each laundry batch? I wonder if it is more than a load of laundry machine, or less.
I am not sure of the exact count, just whatever seems to fit in a load. Probably something similar to a washing machine though?
How long have you had it outside like this now, and do you think that has anything to do with how it has failed?

Does the laundry really come clean? It seems like this wouldnt work as well as a washing machine.
Yes, the laundry is just as clean as when we were using a washing machine, some times it actually fees like it gets more clean.
