@@edgardaniloroblesrivadenei9599 Hello my friend. Thank you for your opinion. All your words are true. I do this to make the video attractive. I showed the camp in difficult conditions. Because using plastic and matches is easy. I don't want plastic and I should use rope and matches. Because they are easily available to everyone. Carrying plastic in the forest does not look good. That's why I don't use plastic and matches. Thank you very much for sharing your opinion. Thank you for your company, my friend. ❤️
Try a small box plane to shave thin wood. It might start quicker. Also, try slowly shaving off some of the magnesium onto the thin wood and then striking. It should make for a hotter spark ignition. I was thinking about the wax you shaved off, I think it was wax. Did you blend alcohol or some other flammable liquid in wax and form an excellerant to quickly get the flame going?
@@climjames Hello, my friend. Thank you for watching the video. Thank you for your opinion. I used a thread dipped in paraffin. The material that I put into the fire is solid paraffin. I already dipped the thread in paraffin. From flammable liquids and substances I don't use it. I like making fire in difficult conditions and without incendiary substances and flammable liquids. That's why I try to use fatwood or pieces of carved wood to light the fire, which is more attractive to the audience. ❤️❤️
@@Forestcampp OK, I used the AI the help me understand how the paraffin is used. This is what is said; Paraffin, also known as kerosene in some contexts, is a hydrocarbon-based fuel commonly used in lamps, candles, and heaters. Solid paraffin wax has a high flashpoint and needs to be melted or vaporized to ignite. However, once it is heated to a sufficient temperature, both liquid paraffin and vapor can catch fire easily. The combustion of paraffin produces heat, light, carbon dioxide, and water. I guess the paraffin is an accelerant (spelled it wrong before) once heated to the right temperature.

In your country, you can freely go into the forest to camp, build a fire, build a tent, and hunt, but in Vietnam, I was arrested by forest rangers and police to punish me for trespassing into the forest and illegally exploiting it.

You should have a bigger tarp, keep the fire protected.
