Drugstore makeup has come such a long way from when I was growing up! ELF, Rimmel, Essence are fantastically high quality and so affordable priced!!!

I use that Essence powder as a foundation. I love it. And it is waterproof. I’m 58 and I don’t think it accentuates my wrinkles at all.

I'm excited to try it! I love the Loreal powder foundation but the colors aren't great for my tone.
The essence is my favorite powder foundation. I've used one up completely and have pan in the second one. With as many powders as I have, that says a lot. I can not wear the elf powder foundation AT ALL.
The Milani balm lipsticks are so good and I never hear anyone talk about them. It’s not a balm, more of a glossy, pigmented lipstick but the finish and feel on the lips is gorgeous. I haven’t tried any of the click up lip products because I figure I wouldn’t be a fan of the texture, but the Milani balm lipsticks give me what I’d want out of the click up products anyways

Usually it’s only the first 4 - 6 shades that’s available. I could order my shade directly from the brand, but with shipping the affordability is gone and I don’t have anyone to split the cost with. I love the elf lash n roll mascara. It’s soooo good. I replaced the tarte lights, camera, lashes mascara for the elf one. Not spending $25 on mascara anymore

OMG just last night I was saying I want a matte red liquid lipstick. I know its drying but I just want something that will not budge. I just wore this old Loreal Pure Rouge lipstick, blotted then powder on top. Not as budgeproof as I want but it was what I just wanted. I want matte lipsticks back, but maybe with the innovation they can make it not as drying as they used to be.
Yes! I feel like so many categories of makeup have been improving over the last few years so it would be so nice to see them improve a lot of the older matte formulas too. Honestly, I’ve been so impressed by the wear time with the Milani lipsticks. They have definitely been a good alternative to liquid lipsticks.

One concealer that I love is the Revlon photo ready concealer. I found it on Amazon and it’s truly one of my favorites. I also love the flower beauty liquid blushes. The Maybelline liquid vinyl lipsticks are also a pretty comfortable long wearing formula that I enjoy

My drugstore faves aren’t super cheap or groundbreaking
#1 by far: Milani fruit fetish lip oil.
The rest: L’Oréal Lumi bronzer, maybelline age rewind concealer, essence bye bye panda eyes tubing mascara, L’Oréal true match powder and concealer, clean it zero cleansing balm, essence make me brow brow mascara, ulta matte eye primer. I don’t really use primer but the Milani No Pore Zone is great.
Oh and I tried the Colorpop shadow stix today and LOVED it. $8.

I'd be curious to get her take on the blush too. I got the shade rosebud and it's just so beautiful that I have a hard time making myself use any of my other blushes.
I will definitely check out the blushes! I love the Milani lip stain! It’s not quite as long lasting as a few other glossy stains I’ve tried but it’s so comfortable. It’s very moisturizing and doesn’t dry out my lips at all! 🙌
The eyeliner from essence is amazing. I use it with just mascara and blush when I want something simple on my way to school and I look so much more awake! The elf is great too. (I’m a high schooler

I still need to try that concealer! I bought it in the past but the shade was really off so I need to order the right shade. I do love their palettes though!
Please consider trying the Colourpop “Golden Hour” eyeshadow palette!! I hadn’t purchased from them in years - yet tried this palette and was amazed at how pigmented it was (a little powdery too, but acceptable since it was still easy to blend). Would love your opinion on it!!❣️❣️🙏🙏🥰

Do you know how that Essence powder foundation compares to the Moira powder foundation? I love the Moira one. It’s amazing, but also $20 and doesn’t last very long. I’d love an alternative.
If you don’t already know Moira often has 30-40% off site wide a couple times a year. Still not as cheap as Essence but wanted to throw it out there. Moira’s powders are so underrated!
The Catrice líp oils are so nice, the lighter pink is so flattering on me, I had to buy a backup. The, I want to say new, Essence lip oils are also very nice!

I love this-thanks for sharing! I will say that I bought the ELF Lash Xtendr mascara in brown probably about 2 weeks ago now, bc everyone was hyping it up….and I’m still trying to like it. For my lashes, they don’t seem to hold the curl or really do much for me. And also taking it off my lashes is weird. 😂 haha that’s just my experience, I loved your suggestion about the Milani highly rated anti-gravity that you recommended in another video and I’m loving that mascara..it’s hard to get anything comparable. (I know the Elf isn’t supposed to be anything like it) but it’s hard to beat 😂
It really is so strange removing a tubing mascara! I always feel like I’m losing lashes which is kind of unnerving. 😂 I’m out of town and I actually brought the Milani Anti Gravity and I’ve been reminded just how much I love it! It really is so good.

It’s actually been a few years since I’ve tried their products, other than their bronzer! I need to pick up some of their products because I’ve heard good things lately!
Andrea hiw long have you had your Milani velvet matte lipsticks? I have had mine for 2 years. Im wandering if its time to throw them away and get new ones.
Is this in regards to expiration dates?
If there's no change in performance, texture or smell, then there's really no reason to throw it out.
Of course, if it offends your senses in some other way or you want to make room, then have at it.

Those NYX Lingerie XXL liquid lipsticks are the only matte liquid i think are very good. The Too Faced Melted Mattes were ok, but I quit that brand years ago. I wish I could do bullet lipstick but apparently I’m too feral because I end up looking like I just filmed a low budget 80s rom-com makeup scene-color is all over my face. 😮
Sadly L’Oréal had some great ones (Matte Lip Stains) but they’re gone. I got a few more on Amazon though.

I believe of these products are in stores, with the exception of Catrice! Although, they are sold in drugstores in most countries other than the US. I agree that it can be tough to match when it comes to drugstore products though so they aren’t easily available to test or swatch.

If I were a makeup artist doing your makeup, I would use very sheer glowy skin product and show your freckles, a one and done sheer yet metallic eyeshadow no falsies, a soft not black eyeliner and juicy lip product. Hair messy updo.
I wish I could get the essence powder to work for me. It clumps up and gets chunky in certain places no matter how long I let my skin care sink in
Oh that’s so frustrating! How do you usually apply it? I feel like one of those velour triangle puffs makes it go on more smoothly than a brush or the sponge it comes with but I’ve had that issue with powders before too. It’s always frustrating!

Hi, I wanted to ask you what you recommend for a first timer video camera used for making TH-cam videos that is also affordable?
Truthfully I would just recommend using your phone! Phones take really good video these days and it’s a great way to try it out before committing to anything too expensive! If you really prefer a camera, I’m a fan of the Sony vlogging cameras!

My nephew is getting married on 2/17. I bought Fenty liquid lipstick in HBIC. What a mess. It bled all over my face. Good thing I tried it out first. That’s going back. So I’m looking in my collection and I have this old ELF liquid matte in Red Vixen. Man, they nearly look the same. Plus the ELF is lighter too. I wanted something really pretty.
