He was on Random Goth Couples yt channel and he basically explained his views about how authoritarian the lockdown was. I'm glad that he's a rational individual who seemed well spoken during that interview. I've been listening to them since highschool (mostly their stuff from the 80s). Until my early 20s where I got more into goth music in general. Weird cause of my love for the 80s I was listening to alot of post punk and goth music without even knowing it. I also liked shoe gaze , Brit pop and alot of alternative music from the 80s and 90s and even 2000s. So, of course I'd be a goth today.
I'm so glad someone is still allowed to make music that reflects the current madness and insanity of humanity.
It amazes me.... I'm waiting for them to get "shutdown" or "cancelled." The world is a very bizarro place now

@@Lunatic4Bizcas I am a 54 yr old fan of goth music since early 80's and I think that Vort is very diplomatically saying that this is what we O.G.'s have been waiting for following the first album. As good as everything in between has been it never felt as fresh as this does. This is the vibe we remember and missed so much. It has been recaptured.

I was moved to tears. I listened to Clan of Xymox as a teenager in the 80's. It's been over 30 years and Clan of Xymox is still playing and I still like it. 😢 Thank you 👍

This pandemic is pretty much making 80s italo disco 80s cyberpunk 80s gothic bop and 80s cosmic space italo disco to make New retro wave and synth nerds lots of time on there hands to expeariment with there Synthesizers and drum machines in hence rebirthing Synth pop,Disco Glam Punk,80s Gothic Bop,80s italo cosmic space disco,Synthwave and even 70s synth pop and Proto Punk and this is what Cyberpunk is also about when the one hit wonder Synth Disco Punk bands take over the scene so in a way its only helping us perfect our Synth craft of Proto Synth thank jim Morrison, alan vega Martin Rev and 80s cosmic italo disco for making cheesy proto synth music popular again its time to create the next Generation of 80s cosmic space italo 70s Disco and Disco Glam Punk

You just spoke right from my mind and I'm in Florida. We have been out of lockdown for a long time. But I feel for my country and your country. You should come here! I'm so sorry. I wouldn't make it. I need freedom, I need to be able to walk in the woods without a mask, enjoy beauty in nature... I need to breathe! Wearing my mask all day at work is awful so I cant imagine how you all feel to wear it outside and inside. Not being able to travel, go to a house in the country. . This is insanity. We need to rise up!!!

@@dystopian2153 I live in Kansas but I work in Missouri. They lifted the mask mandate at work and the majority are still wearing them, even the vaccinated. Sad that they don't need to be told what to do anymore, they live in fear and police themselves.

They trancend the 80s. 20 years ago when I first heard of them I thought they were new late 90s 2000 era and they're still making new music which is relevant

one of the most insightful bands that exist..
COX are as great as they were back in the 80's. One of the few 80's bands that keeps on getting better and age gracefully.

Yup, I went from an 80's mullet to fully waist length, to short and spiky, to bald as a cueball, all in the same period of time he's had that black crow's nest on his head.

I was never a goth, but I WAS aware of Sisters of Mercy, Cure etc. I'm a recent COX convert though. And a bit older than Vort..
the music is great, sorry you are feeling bummed out man. The shelter in place is tough for sure. My family hasn't been sick since the beginning of the pandemic. We are all going through so much. I hope you are doing well. No reason to "shut down". Keep making great music.
