    Wish you would have showed us how you slid the poles down and keep them down. Do you drive with them up or only put them in once you want to use them?

      I just push them in by hand when I want to use them. They sat on each side of my boat on the floor of the boat

    GREAT IDEA, BUT JUST MY OPINION. THE SECOND ONE I WOULD'VE MADE THE BASE A LIL LONGER TO COVER OLD TROLLING MOTOR HOLES.

    Great thinking brother!..... I can't believe an actual shop charged you $120 for those shitty looking welds though. Form follows function though eh?

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I use mine all the time. Alot more than I thought I would. I think if I do it over again, I will make them out of steel myself or a heaver piece of aluminum. But other than that their one of the best upgrades I put on my boat.

      @@redbeardsdiy1222 .... I believe it. I fish shallow water to much not to have something like this. Power Poles are way to damn expensive and I can't justify their convenience for the price. I need this.

    Nice job brother how did it hold up?

    • @redbeardsdiy1222
      @redbeardsdiy1222  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The paint didn't hold up on them. But they have some kind of coating that keeps the outside from rusting. The inside will still rust if u get water in it. Other than that they work great for muddy or sandy bottoms. Rockey bottoms it has a hard time staying in one place. I use them when we are doing family outings on sand bars. I have had wakes come over the back of my boat and they hold firm. I have no complaints about them. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

    Hello, what material are the rods made from? I lost a 100.00 rod overboard yesterday. Great video. thanks for sharing.

    • @redbeardsdiy1222
      @redbeardsdiy1222  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steel when all together probably weighs 15 lbs or so. You can get them from lowes. Maybe some other box stores like that

      I researched it today the OD is too big. I need 3/4 OD. That pipe is 1.05 OD.
