Wonderful pickup walk through! So great to both hear and be talked through the evolution of Strat pickups. I’d love to see similar videos for Jazzmaster and Tele pick-up eras!

Andreas is also a great musical player, could listen to the clean sounds and remember my youth. My favorites are the 65.

2 months ago I ordered a guitar from Haar, and while I was looking for info I noticed that Erik used Kloppmann p'ups a lot. So I started looking into them and I ended up ordering my strat with the 62s. I can't wait to get the instrument on my hands!

I am considering to buy a Strat from Erik van der Haar. And guess what, I am thinking of the Kloppann Real 62s, too. You must have received your guitar in the meantime. How do your like it?

Wow. They all sound wonderful. The nice playing from you shows the sound perfect.
Wich string gauge do you use? Certainly not 09-42's?

It's a shame about the (overloaded mic?) distortion on the clean recordings
    - otherwise fantastic, and very enjoyable & educational.

Tremendous video! I'm looking for pickups for some Strats that I'm working on, and this was very helpful.
A couple places in the video did kinda throw me:
At around 20 minutes, you refer to a '66 strat but you're pointing to your older 50's strat. Also at this point, the caption on the video says "Custom Shop 50's, Swamp Ash, Maple Neck" and does not mention rosewood. I'm guessing that you meant '55 rather than '65, and that the guitar was a CS 60's era alder.
Also, at 28 minutes, the video caption says CS 65, but still says Swamp Ash Body.
No huge deal, of course, but I was studying the comments intently to get ideas for the strats I'm working on.
In fact, perhaps you can advise:
One of my strats has a Warmoth swamp ash body that's very mid-scooped. Most pickups sound very thin on this guitar. I've been researching pickups that will complement that without resorting to heavy-wound dull pickups..
Also, who carries your pickups in the USA?
Thanks again for the video, Andreas! Your playing is on point, and refreshingly free from the reflexive cliche lines that are so common on TH-cam. Perfect demo of the various eras of Strats.

It will sound the same. The wood doesn't affect the tone. Only the sustain is affected by things like wood or paint. The saddle and bridge can change the sound tho.
