Parents who bought smart phones for their Kids at a tender age, and gave them access to the social media without checking what they do or who they interact with. Or not controlling the movement of Kids and peers when they move remotely, can tantamount to some children to acquire some bad behaviours, which they thought is right, and current, because they have seen others doing them in social media or remotely. Parents or whoever it may concern should take appropriate actions to show them the right way and to teach them to behave approriately in accordance with the norms and values of the society. Or we refuse to hurt their feelings and destroy their future.

That particular student was expelled from her school and a petition was circulated to get her back in school. Now another video circulating and having the face of the student covered, are we kidding ourselves, like seriously? As I said before, it’s disheartening and rather unfortunate. However, our parents have an immense role to play. Can we restrict the contents shared on our social media as Gambians? If that is done, others will advocate for their rights to freedom of speech.
