He’s a tiny bit flat sometimes, It’s because the guitar is in the same tonal range of his voice, so he can’t hear himself and he cut his resonators a bit. Singing that high it’s a delicate balance of where the sound is placed, and if you can’t hear exactly where it is, you kinda overshoot or undershoot it. The resonance he’s missing he hears filled by the guitar, and so he’s a tiny bit flat. It’s the same reason thundercat only sings in falsetto when he’s performing. Because he’s playing the bass, and he vocally doesn’t try to sing the low end. It’s all about what we hear, and how our bodies make space or close to make sound. 🤷🏼♀️
