Oh wow, this has to be one of my most favourite videos ever! Such a different - and rather spooky - perspective at night, especially with no intrusive noise. Many amazing images and reflections. The footage at Grants Lock, in particular, is just spectacular. I loved every minute of it (can you tell? 😂) and shall watch again and again. Thank you, Phil, and special thanks to Bushka for making it happen!

Such a shame that old Lock Keeper's Cottage is out of use,😢 hope someone will purchase it repair and put it back to it's former glory, seen worse buildings than that restored.

Glad you took out traffic sounds. Looks like a happening place to moor. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'll try and set the sound recorder up for future trips but there generally isn't a lot of sound going on at night anyway. It's quite a popular mooring spot but rather a boring place to stop. Good internet though!

I’m reminded of a trip about 40 yrs ago… camping at a large amusement park… I thought, “ how pretty it must be at night with all the bright lights”. Yes, it was pretty.. till you sat on a ride next to the pretty bright lights. Every bug in the whole world was sitting next to you on that ride… some were very scary looking. I’ll never go to an amusement park after dark again. So.. thanks for the cruise and no thanks for the horrific memories😩

Hello Phil , What a wonderful relaxing night time video. Didn't like the looks of the burned out house! look like a haunted house, very creepy feeling. Have a wonderful weekend and have nice weather 🙂

Thanks Phil for the night ride. It’s still scary looking though. The bugs reminded me of the beginning of a Star Trek show. Ha!

At least down the other end of the boat it's dark and not so many bugs.

Be glad you still have lots of bugs, they are very important to everything. Here in America our bug population is getting very thin including our bee's. So count yourselves lucky !!

I reckon there's about a 90% decline in insect life since I was a kid. Very sad indeed.

@NarrowboatJourneysSLOWTV yes I agree , there was a rumor over here that one of our let's say fat cat rich guy's had released mosquitos that had been infected with an infectious disease. Things are so crazy over here. Pray for us. And I'll pray for all of you. Hope to get to visit other countries someday day but who knows kiss the kitty's we all love them so much. Stay Safe !

Mr Bushker must have girl friends at every port of call, lets hope he's not like Hemel (Harry H. Corbett) in the Bargee he ended up with a off spring and a marriage. 😹 PS Thanks again for a smashing video 👍
