What a circuitous route to the sign! straight down Franklin,turn-up Beachwood, to Hollywood-land,Look up right or Left proceed up you are there! I lived on Belden drive 1 Street below Sign in79'-82' ! Luv your California Stops too!
I first considered straight down Franklin.. but decided on this route. Glad you enjoyed the video! Perhaps I'll take Beachwood next time! Must've been a nice home on Belden!
Two examples of past Hollywood studio history: At 7:30, the corner building with the globe on top once was part of RKO Pictures (Astair-Rogers, KING KONG, CITIZEN KANE, etc). The globe used to be topped by an antenna during the RKO days to mimic its logo (the lot is now part of its long-time neighbor Paramount). At 10:30 we see the former home of Columbia Pictures (The Three Stooges, IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, etc). Now its the Sunset-Gower Studios.
Not being from CA. Everytime I saw that iconic sign in TV and films. I Never knew ,until watching these OMV videos, that nearly the entire hill is covered with houses! I wonder how difficult the driving is on a pitch black night? Great video again. (What's on the back side of the hill?)
Yah good question. Haven't driven there at night. Might be too dark to capture a drive; But I'll have to try sometime. The back side are more hills then the Forest Lawn cemetery where some celebrities have been buried.
The San Fernando Valley. It's easy enough to get lost during daytime. It's worse at night if you don't know your way around. Check out some "Mullholland Drive" videos. Some will show views of the LA Basin on one side of the Santa Monica Mountains and then sweeping views of the Valley on the other side.
i want to move there to beachwood canyon i life in westlake village and hate it people are just too shallow where i live presently i need some depth of life experience
@@omwpov i hope so :) i gave westlake over 30 years some aspects are good but never got into the lifestyle after living in north hollywood as a child/ teen felt too remote beachwood is fascinating old homes and history
Thank you for the journey 😊❤
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!

Can you do a drive to Carroll Avenue in Echo Park and Angelino Heights where all the Victorian houses are? 😆 🙏
Thanks for the suggestion. I plan to do a Silver Lake / Echo Park video. I'll plan those areas into the video!
Muito bonito

Beachwood Canyon would definitely be a good change from quiet suburbia of Westlake Village. Hope you get to make that change soon!

Los Ángeles y el sur de California son caros. Deberías ver los barrios malos! Gracias por ver!
