@@banginbros4Lwhat size box and what tuning are you putting the speaker in... I'm getting the 12-in.. putting it in the SUV I was going to put it in a 3 cubic foot box... 1.5 Salt...
Normally, you don't want to block the pole and cooling vents. You need the air moving through them to keep the voice coil from overheating. Maybe you were doing short burts? If your doing longer high power runs, tilt the sub on it's side so it can keep cool. 👍
Ohms rise happens with the subwoofer in the box or free air out of the box unfortunately. I got my amps wired at .25ohms each to fight ohms rise. I got Audio Legion amps. Now about your subwoofers it's amazing.
You'd be lucky if that sub saw 1000 watts. That amp can probably do 1500-1700 watts at 4 ohms with no rise at all, assuming gain set just before clipping and all knobs to the right. Impedence rise occurs when a sub is moving, usually the more it moves - the higher the rise, it's not "box rise". Still a monster subwoofer tho.

Yessir! I got confirmation the box builder started this weekend. We shall see it soon. 😊
Is 6 cubes enough? 7 seems excessive?
@@drjd2real6-7 range is good.

I don't fight rise, I embrace it!
😅
@@JasonWW2000yeah keep lowering the ohms and ohms rise seems to not be an issue.
@RyanBassForLife No, ohms rise can be good. It's normal. You can even match it to your vehicle to get smoother bass response.

🔥
They look exactly like a platinum v2 , I mean they are identical
is only 1,700w RMS though
Correct.
You guys talk about this sub as if it's the best thing since slice bread. What's so special about this sub?
What’s not special about it? It’s a big subwoofer
@banginbros4L resilient sound gold v2 and b2 audio rage are the same sub. Why spend so much and the resilient is cheaper ?

We didn’t blow any subs here.
