I have been on the park walked that trail and seen the river and I have always felt an erie feeling there like something is lost and hoping to get out it is really scary
This missing persons case reminds me of a weird thing that happened in the grandmas house. I was at my grandma's house and she has a bunch of creepy dolls like sitting everywhere. And, she had a boy doll named Alfred. I was sleeping at her house because my parents were away. Alfred was in the room I was sleeping in. He was in the back of the room. Half way through the night when I was sleeping I heard foot steps. I didn't think anything of it. When I woke up in the morning he was in the front of the room. I still terrified of this even though it happened almost 4 years ago.

good idea. It's almost like he was picked up, and dragged, and used for whatever till he was buried dead or alive. I mean used as, whatever purpose he was taken for. Murder, food, sacrifice, anything. Sure, something supernatural could be the case. but with any theory, the boy could've been tampered with or silenced. It's most likely he was silenced, or silently picked up by a supernatural creature, then for some reason... was dragged through certain locations. Whatever they wanted with him, and if he was able to fight off it, there is a pretty good chance a four-year-old lost that battle. It would make sense if he was lost around the place the dogs stopped because somebody kidnapped and buried him most likely. but because I think this is beyond human nature, it seems like the boy was either underground, buried, or the dogs sensed something paranormal and or were tampered with to stop. Dogs can sense paranormal activity, so this could have to do with it. Unless there is absolute clues of what they might be, I wouldn't assume any certain being just yet. As for the boy being perched and yanked, it could've been for many reasons. to make people suspicious. To let the boy rest before he permanently dies. Or as part of the torture he was forced through.

did no one think about a mountain lion? like they can sit high up in the trees then pounce at the right moment, like he was small enough to probably be instantly killed and not make a noise, then the animal just dragged him into the forest without notice like if its a bit of a windy day and you hear some movement you aren't going to really notice it cause you're used to it by now. But the appearance on the cliff 6 miles away could have been the same mountain lion dragging him around cause they don't finish all of they're prey at once, the jerk back and out of sight would explain if this were the case, mountain loins can travel far and wide so this would be explainable, they can also climb that high too so I find this may be a logical insight to the disappearance in my opinion

I think an animal makes a lot of sense considering a human wouldn't be able to navigate the terrain, but apparently there were no footprints. I thought bird too, but why would there be a scent trail at the beginning but suddenly none for 6 miles?

I think maybe someone took Alfred, for example, that he was jerked back, maybe that was an actual other person pulling him back because the person didn’t want people to see Alfred , and then find him and then find out who took him. And maybe the person actually managed to get take him by hiding in a bush or a tree, then pulling him away and running off with him without making a sound, that would explain how he got so far. Because someone else took him up there.

I wonder how big this child was. I'm thinking an eagle snatched him. It would explain everything and we used to have a lot of reports of bald eagles attempting to snatch human babies and children. It would explain why his footsteps suddenly stopped, why they couldn't see him (would have had to have looked up), how he got all the way up there, and why his scent vanished. I would consider a mountain lion, but they would've seen and heard the lion carry him off.
That makes sense where the trail ended maybe the kidnapper stopped holding the kids hand and walking instead he out him in his shoulders and continued walking
But no matter if the boy was lifted off the ground there so still be some scent of him or the kidnapper that the blood hounds could follow and how would they even get up on the ledge without gear and tons of experience?

I think maybe someone took Alfred, for example, that he was jerked back, maybe that was an actual other person pulling him back because the person didn’t want people to see Alfred , and then find him and then find out who took him. And maybe the person actually managed to get take him by hiding in a bush or a tree, then pulling him away and running off with him without making a sound, that would explain how he got so far. Because someone else took him up there.

I wonder how big this child was. I'm thinking an eagle snatched him. It would explain everything and we used to have a lot of reports of bald eagles attempting to snatch human babies and children. It would explain why his footsteps suddenly stopped, why they couldn't see him (would have had to have looked up), how he got all the way up there, and why his scent vanished. I would consider a mountain lion, but they would've seen and heard the lion carry him off.

But no matter if the boy was lifted off the ground there so still be some scent of him or the kidnapper that the blood hounds could follow and how would they even get up on the ledge without gear and tons of experience?
I don’t think so cause the bloodhounds wouldn’t have stopped and the parents would have heard the footsteps
