Someone robbed my home and took all of them along with a great stereo. I had Bose Speakers. It was a rocking stereo. I use to put Gene Watson albums on and rock the neighborhood, lol. I was never able to recover my albums or stereo. They don't make them anymore. God Bless you Gene Watson for responding to my post. Your voice truly got better with age. I love listening to you. I stumbled across this song when I was a teenager and my boyfriend at the time was alot older than me but he was really messing up our relationship. I listened to this song and I realized he was really trying and he, we did keep our relationship together. 20+ years later and he has passed but is still very much the love of my life and this song is so very much why!

I can't believe he did it. Gene closed his show in Waco last night with this song as his encore. After telling the story of how and when the song came to him and his doubting his future in the business at the time, he asked for prayers hitting the high notes and promptly dove in and nailed it. Shocker huh? The crowd went nuts. Almost 80 and still the best. Thank you, Gene and the Farewell Party Band. Great night.

I stumbled across this song when I was a teenager and my boyfriend at the time was alot older than me but he was really messing up our relationship. I listened to this song and I realized he was really trying and he, we did keep our relationship together. 20+ years later and he has passed but is still very much the love of my life and this song is so very much why!

I forgot to tell you, I know so many of your songs, and love to sing them. Carmine..Old man with a horn.... Can't Get a Woman/Man Off Your Mind... Sweet Thing Aint Around, such a great bluesy feel to that song! But some of those songs sung by another, could never sound a quarter as good as you make them.

Great music and great voice. I wish I knew about this guy earlier.
I can't believe he did it. Gene closed his show in Waco last night with this song as his encore. After telling the story of how and when the song came to him and his doubting his future in the business at the time, he asked for prayers hitting the high notes and promptly dove in and nailed it. Shocker huh? The crowd went nuts. Almost 80 and still the best. Thank you, Gene and the Farewell Party Band. Great night.
