Hi dear.. just asking.. why in India or Indian people don't prefer to put pottu with modern attire? Coz, we Malaysian, most of time, wears non Indian clothing, but it's normal we put pottu and vibuthi in our day to day life...
And also another thing.. is there any unwritten rules in India, married woman must put red pottu, and black is not allowed.. Coz in Malaysia, we before getting married, we put black pottu and after marriage, red pottu.
Just want to know the culture in India ..❤

It's everyone's personal choice. In india also many people do put potu for Western wear too, but watching many western people not many prefer that. And there is no compulsion now to put sindoor, also anyone can put black potu and red potu not only married women.

Black symbolise inauspicious things that's why married women should not wear black bindi..widows only wear that bindi....as per Hindu rituals .. nowadays some following some not....
