    Ingredients for Dal Chawal Palida:
    5 cups Toor dal ( 2 1/2 lb )
    1 TBSP turmeric
    1 TBSP + 1 tsp salt
    5 liter water (20 cups)
    4 cup chopped onion ( 3 large onions 600 g)
    1 cup oil
    1/4 cup chopped garlic
    1 TBSP cumin
    2 tsp whole black pepper
    15 cloves
    6 cinnamon stick
    12 green cardamom or 4 black cardamom
    3-4 bay leaves
    3 TBSP hará masala ( ginger, garlic & green chilies)
    1 TBSP red chili powder
    1 TBSP coriander powder
    1 TBSP turmeric
    1 TBSP + 1 tsp salt
    3 cup chopped tomatoes ( 4-5 large tomatoes 600g)
    15-20 curry leaves
    Palida Ingredients:
    3/4 cup oil
    1 cup gram flour/ Channa atta (130g)
    3/4 cup Tamarind Chutney
    2 lb drumsticks
    8 Kokum
    1 doodhi/Luki
    1/2 tsp fenugreek/methi
    1 tsp red chili powder
    Add 4 cup prepared dal in plaida
    6 cups Basmati Rice ( 2 1/2 lb)
    3 TBSP salt
    Oil
    5 liter water
