It actually was very close. When you get at least 63 points on your top, you get an extra 35 points. Botan got exactly 63 points on her top portion and so got the extra score. They were exactly 40 points apart at the end which means, if you ignore the extra points, botan was only up by 5 points, so if botan only got 1 five, she wouldnt have gotten her top and they would have either tied or botan would have lost depending on what watame got.
The card has the different combinations you are trying to make. You roll the dice and keep what you want (you get two rerolls). Each combination can only be used once so sometimes you have to sacrifice a combination to keep a high value one available. There are more rules but it’s a pretty simple game

How do you play this game?
