The Kartarpur Corridor is a significant religious and cultural pathway that connects the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan, with the border of India. It was inaugurated on November 9, 2019, and allows Indian Sikh pilgrims to visit this historic site, where Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, spent the last years of his life.
The corridor spans approximately 4 kilometers and facilitates visa-free access for pilgrims, although they must register in advance. This initiative aims to promote religious tourism and foster goodwill between India and Pakistan, symbolizing a bridge between communities. The Gurdwara itself is a revered site, attracting thousands of devotees seeking to pay their respects.
To apply for the Kartarpur Corridor, follow these steps:
Check Eligibility: Ensure you are a citizen of India and a Sikh devotee.
Online Registration: Visit the official website for the Kartarpur Corridor. You will need to fill out an online application form with your personal details, including name, date of birth, and contact information.
Documents Required: You may need to upload a government-issued ID (like an Aadhaar card or passport) and a passport-sized photograph.
Select Dates: Choose your preferred date of travel, keeping in mind that the corridor is open on specific days.

At some points, it gives you the restricted place warning.
