    I think that the old Novgorod was the most civilized city of the old Rus', and maybe the most powerful after the capital Kiev. I know that in the ages of Rurik dynasty were one of the most educated city of all the world. Almost all the citizens were able to write and read

      It is the successor of the Novgorod Prince Rurik - Prophetic Oleg made Kiev the capital of Rus, I already wrote. Because the lands of Novgorod he could not own, Veche ( Assembly of citizens) was not allowed him, but he could own land in Kiev. In Kiev, lived Polyane (Slavic tribe), which he freed from tribute to the Khazars and they became to pay him for protection. And when Novgorod was already a huge city with a developed culture and literature, Kiev was a small town...... If Novgorod had not been so independent and allowed Russian princes to wield the Novgorod land, it is possible, the Russian princes not made the capital of Kiev Rus. After all, the word Rus is gone on the Russian princes called the Varangian-Rus. From them came the name of our state. They were Baltic Slavs who came from the Baltic, first in Ladoga ( Old Ladoga), then in Novgorod, and then took Kiev. So Novgorod was much development of Kiev in those days. Kiev began to develop later thanks to the Russian princes, descendants of Rurik, which shared power with the result that Kiev was not able to hold power over the other Russian principalities and the role of the capital took Moscow, which by that time had gained weight and he gathered together all the Russian principalities. Then the area of Galicia and Kiev was occupied by the Polish-Lithuanian Principality, Rzecz Pospolita and started to call the territory of Ukraine or Okraina (outskirts) and settled in the territory of the descendants of the merchants of the Khazars ( Jewish rostovschika), against which rebelled the local population and all the famous Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who has asked Russia to take back the Kiev land under his wing. Now the same thing happens, the story is constantly repeated, the merchants of the Khazars Waltman (is the real name of Poroshenko) took power in Kiev and Ukraine, scoffs at Russian population, which was there always, he support the Ukrainian nationalists (descendants of Polish Jews), why South-East (Donbass) rose up against this.It is briefly, Ricardo ....

      @okarus5535  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I am not a nationalist, by the way, I'm just telling you, Ricardo, the real situation. Sorry for mistakes in English, was in a hurry and besides, again, stupid e-translators. ) Bandera even though he was a Polish Jew, he was a crazy fascist, he destroyed the Russians, poles and the same Jews, and brutally. Ukrainian neo-Nazis, which fosters Poroshenko, are doing about the same now.

      Oka rus I know that you are a good woman, Alena. Don't worry i also know that you just love your country and i respect so much you for that (but not only for that, because you are really a smart, educated and clean person).
      Instead i've to thanks to you for your explanation. Was really beautiful read what you wrote for me. And i really love upgrade my culture about Russia.
      Anyway i had no doubts: i always known that every shit that western politicants say us are just bullshit, not right and not accorded with the real history.
      Ukraine is a part of Russia! And i'm italian, but i know that... And of course i can't be a russian nationalist, because i'm not russian.
      So, thank you another time Alena, for me is a pleasure have a pen friend as you

      OMG. Ricardo, I again found an error in my text. ))) Corrected.
      In Kiev, lived Polyane (Slavic tribe) which he (Prophetic Oleg) freed from tribute to the Khazars and they became to pay him for protection. And yet, I wanted to say the following. Russia does not claim to Ukraine, Russia wants the Ukrainian neo-Nazis are not abused there over the Russian-speaking population (which is almost all the population) and especially the Donbass, who honour their ancestors, who fought against fascism, for which Bandera is a criminal, not a hero, and quiet to wear on his breast a St. George ribbon - a symbol of victory over fascism and the symbol of protection of the Fatherland. I don't want the Ukrainian fascists kill old men, women and children just for the fact that they are St. George ribbon, and not a nazi wolf hook ... Thank you for your attention and kind words )

      Oka rus I got you, don't worry. :))) It's me that i'm not sure if the Ukraine has to exist! Haha. I think that they are the same kids of the Rus', as modern russians. I think that they exist just for Lenin and not because they are a different people, with different culture, history and traditions. And i still think that Russia is right in all of her policy, but the truth is that Ukraine is a part of your country, divided only by policy and interests. And people is always corrupted by bad propaganda. All the nationalists in Ukraine were created just by propaganda...

    Beautiful video, Alena, with many interesting things. I love the wooden buildings, especially the house. The man with the red cape was great as well as the archers. Archeological people have been busy! I wonder the significance of the big rock at 11:01. Also thank you for the historical information at the beginning. The end of the video was so beautiful. God bless Russia, it's people, and it's lovely countryside and you too! Nancy

      Thank you, Nancy, for your kind words. In 2012 in the Ryurik ancient Settlement appeared symbolic Prince's stone on the spot where it is believed that 1150 years ago lived and rules the legendary Rurik. Prince's stone - a 40-ton boulder was transported to the settlement from Batetsky district of the Novgorod region. On the stone is engraved a quote of the Radzivill chronicle on the old Slavonic language, indicating a prominent role of settlement in the history of ancient Russia. The inscription says that in 862 took power Rurik, came here to the lake Ilmen and built a town and named it Novgorod (New town). The place is not only symbolic and meaningful to the history of Russia, but very picturesque on the banks of the Volkhov river with views of the ruins of the Church of the Annunciation, which razrushili the German fascists in the years of occupation during world war 2. Also there is a beautiful view of St. George monastery. In the distance is the famous Church of the Savior on Nereditsa.

      Thanks for the information, Alena. Like Logica Redux, I am glad I subscribed to your channel. I have told people about St. Marona, and they listened to her story quietly. All said things like "how inspiring", or "she was used by God!" How poor she was in material things, but so rich in spirit. I think the major problem in the US is love of money. Constant wars because military contracts are very enriching. Politicians need billions of dollars to run their endless campaigns, which they get from super rich. Several years ago, my mom was taking a taxi when a truck tried to run the taxi off the road. The men in the truck shouted hate at the driver. He was a brown man wearing a turban. Apparently, they thought he was a Muslim. He was only a nice man trying to earn a living, with an old lady in the back seat. The truck men had bought into the idea that a entire group of people is evil. Well, some of us disagree with that. Of course, there is time people have to be warriors (Great Patriotic War) to defend themselves, here in the US, I think it is time to be loving, and positive. All these wars have not made the US a better place. And the destruction of so many lives. An American writer, Susan Sontag, wrote that "10% of people are evil and always evil, 10% are good and always will be good. 80% can be turned either way." Maybe the percentages are incorrect, but it is my responsibility to keep myself on the good side and hopefully take some people with me.I believe Marona of Moscow helped people, when it was dangerous to do so. I love that saint. Nancy

      Thanks for the comment. Yes, it's Russian folklore performed by Sergei Starostin, a famous musician in our days. 1 the song is called "Mist". ) Russian horn is a typical Russian musical instrument of the early middle ages and even earlier.

    • @okarus5535
      @okarus5535  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you very much. I apologize in advance for incorrect English translation. Electronic translators are horrible sometimes. ) The ancient Russian city of Novgorod the German fascist invaders turned into a pile of rubble. They destroyed the historical monuments and part of them was dismantled for the construction of fortifications. The monument to the 1000 anniversary of Russia of 1862 were cut apart, the pieces scattered, and decorative grille around bronze stolen. From 2346 homes in the city remained only 40. During their retreat, the Nazis plundered the Museum's most valuable collections of archaeology, history and art, and the building of the Museum and its art gallery destroyed; they raided the research library, rare photograph collection, and a bibliographical card index of the branch of the Institute of history, Academy of Sciences of the USSR. All the destruction in Novgorod produced by the Nazi occupiers deliberately and according to a certain plan that is confirmed by numerous witnesses.
      Until the beginning of September 1943, on the right Bank of the Volkhov river from Novgorod on the Khutyn was made in the construction of new roads. Construction material delivery vehicles from Novgorod, which was specially blown up with ammonal city buildings and facilities. The German command deliberately destroyed the best buildings of the city. In August 1941, the Germans forced Soviet POWs to dismantle a good brick house ( not destroyed) , and the bricks were taken away by rail.
      The destruction was not confined to buildings. The Germans were destroyed and plundered, and other valuable property, up to the various underground structures, underground copper cable goes to Germany. In November they were extracted to 25 kilometers of such cable.
      The German invaders destroyed the main Cathedral in the Novgorod Kremlin St. Sophia. The destruction of middle Cathedral Chapter led to the total destruction of frescoes. The Nazis completely looted the interior of the Cathedral, took all the icons from the iconostasis and the ancient chandeliers, including chandelier, which belonged to Boris Godunov.
      It is established that the robbery of the St. Sophia Cathedral is directly in charge of the commander of the 1st German Aviapolis division, major-General Wilke. German soldiers were removed from the domes of the Church of the gilded leaves. On the ground littered with sheets of a size not less than one square meter and a thickness of 2-3 mm. Wilke ordered the Treasurer of the battalion Stinshoff to make for him a gilded leaves dishes, glasses and tea set......
      Church of the Annunciation on Arcade of the XII century with frescoes from the same century, was converted by the Nazis in the pillbox and barracks. In the Windows of the altar are arranged loopholes, in the southern semi-circle built a wooden floor on beams cut into walls with ancient paintings. In the South wall of the punched recess. The frescoes of the South loop at a considerable section of the wall down.
      Church of the assumption on Volotovo field, a monument of Novgorod architecture of the XIV-XV centuries, the Germans turned into a pile of stones and bricks, beneath which are remains of the walls; the painting of this temple, made in the fourteenth century, was one of the best works of monumental painting and enjoyed wide popularity.
      Church of the Transfiguration on Ilyina street is one of the finest specimens of Novgorod architecture of the fourteenth century, particularly known for his paintings made at the same time, the great Byzantine master Theophanes the Greek. The drum head of the Church and at the top of the Eastern wall of the occupiers struck wide of the loopholes, the Western part of the building destroyed, destroyed the middle West arch, pierced corner arches. As a result of destruction of the South-West corner has separated from the building large cracks. A significant part of the frescoes were lost, and the survivors damaged the Nazi soldiers.
      The Nazis savagely destroyed the famous monument of old Russian art of the XII century - Church of our Savior on Nereditsa, painted inside world famous coats. The Church is a unique monument of the Byzantine and Russian painting of XII century. The Church building by the Germans reduced to ruins. The death of the monument is a huge loss for Russian and world culture.
      More than two years of Nazi activities the Nazis in Novgorod led to the destruction of a number of other remarkable monuments of ancient Russian architecture. Among the latter especially affected the ancient towers of the Kremlin. The German fascist invaders was also destroyed ancient buildings in the Kremlin, referring to the XV-XVII centuries. Here were placed the barracks, soldiers ' clubs, gun shops, warehouses, etc.
      I learned to read in Church Slavonic language in optional classes at school age. But since I don't do it every day, it is forgotten. But partly I can understand the meaning of individual words, they are still similar.

      Alena, my heart was crushed reading about such wanton criminal destruction. But there is a lesson in such tragedy that is not lost on me. The German people only became capable of doing this because they succumbed to the Nazi belief that they were the Ubermench. It turned simple patriotism and love for their own people and culture into something demonic. They believed that it was their destiny to rule the world and they had the right to destroy anyone and anything that stood in their way. Russia was to become land for them and the Slavic people were to be their slaves. Their culture eliminated. As an American today, it would be too easy to point to radical Islamist groups like ISIS who do the same destruction and atrocities. What concerns me more is when I hear the same fascist ideas of being Ubermench here. When the Neocons and Globalists speak of American "exceptionalism" or of the U.S. as being the one "essential" country in the world, I am hearing something that goes beyond patriotism into the demonic. Such dangerous thinking leads to men who can do horrible things, and it will lead to our own eventual destruction as it did the Germans. I hope it will not be impossible to drive these people from power and drive a stake through the heart of such doctrines. May God have mercy!

      Yes, those who destroy other people's culture and world heritage site - just barbarians. I think nobody can make a man trample on the icon and destroy the Church, is it a conscious choice, he does it with his own hands, he always has the choice to do this is blasphemy or not. I realize that there are no bad Nations there are bad people in the devil's ideology. Only obsessed people can enthusiastically and hatred to destroy others, often more cultured people. I also have German roots, but I'll never understand the German fascists, it is sick, those possessed cultists. I love Russia, my homeland, and it always hurts to realize that she had experienced so much grief and destruction of its cultural heritage. In this video there are fragments of wall iconography with fascist traces of gunfire...that's terrible. Imagine how many cities, like Novgorod was destroyed by the Nazis...when I imagine the scale of destruction of Russian culture in the years of the 3 Reich, I'm terrified Thank God, many of us remember the culture, the history of their country and do everything to nobody will never forget and remember the lessons of the world wars. Honestly, since you mentioned your power, I am shocked by the low level of intelligence of the generals in the Pentagon and those who collect taxes from you..... They provoke Russia to war, constantly provoking and accusing Russia of their crimes or the crimes of their puppets. Now your government decided to put the Ukrainian fascists lethal weapon. There is a constant provocation of Russia in Syria, in Ukraine.... I hope all the saints will not allow that to small potatoes framed you and destroy a multipolar world, which was so long before them, and which does not fit into their materialistic plans and picture of life. Thank you for your concern.

      You need to know. Russia is not against USA, Russia for common sense and against bandits supported by your authorities, who do it only in order to remove of their hands Assad who is stopping them to control these territories. This imaginary "opposition" just the bandits that are constantly changing color and its name, but their essence remains the same. When Russia asks your government to separate the opposition from the bandits, your government it does not, when Russia enters the truce, the bandits reveal yourself by the reluctance of the peace and your government play up to they, because they do not want peace too. Russia in ancient Syria, for its world heritage, which the terrorists just destroy and they penetrating into Russia with terrorist attacks in Russia and provocations on borders. Assad was those, who shake hands, but as soon as he began to have his own opinion he only began to interfere with your authorities - he became a "horrible dictator".... like Gaddafi and Hussein, who also became "terrible dictators", once had the audacity not to submit to the U.S. state Department. Earlier, apparently, no one has noticed their awfulness and not democracy... All your media sell you the image of the "terrible" Russia, which is alleged against all Americans, it lasts for decades, nothing has changed. With Assad the same story. Why are aggressive monsters that drive you and hang you noodles on the ears through its mainstream....? I kind of understand, they make information veil, but really is it forever?....Sorry, but really the cry of the soul. Russia respects everyone who respects Russia, we never generalize a whole country because a bunch of idiots. For us, the individual person has value, everyone may not think so, as their influential minority imposes them. Sorry, but I just don't want to be misunderstanding between us. People who have something to lose - not fighting.

      Это что-то вроде реваншистких сожалений подданных хазарского каганата прям, ей Богу. Украины тогда не существовало даже в страшных фантазиях польских шляхтичей, создавших ее на русских землях, которые они оттяпали вообще-то..., но спасибо, посмеялась. ) Слава Богу Новгород ( откуда в Киев пришли русские князья и освободили его от хазарской дани, создав государство Русь по названию своего племени варяги-русь, и объявившие Киев - матерью городов русских ) не имеет к этому никакого отношения.... А еще сильно сожалеют, видимо, о том, что не оттяпали Новгород, потомки фашистского 3-го рейха, который практически уничтожил Новгород во время оккупации в ВОВ и от которых этот город был освобожден моим и другими дедами. Спасибо им, кстати. Святое дело - освобождать русские земли от фашистской нечисти, от русофобов, не жалея жизни. Так считается в православии, поэтому русофобы-сектанты уничтожают теперь и его вместе с раскольниками и отлученными от церкви ряженными. Бедный Донбасс..... сочувствую ему, их уничтожают те, кто еще вчера ездил с ними в одной маршрутке и ходил рядом на привоз за польским салом.... и готовился к Евро, делая вид, что один народ.... и это с ними теперь НАВСЕГДА. Мне не жалко эмоций, все ради вашего просвещения.
