DIY Flood Barrier Fence

This is our attempt to help people who are about to get flooded who do not have flood barriers. Flood Defense Group always receives calls for help when catastrophic flood waters are on the way and sometimes it is too late for us to help. Therefore, we are conducting experiments to see how people can protect themselves from flooding using locally available materials.
In this case, we used 28" tall Garden Fencing, T-Posts, and 6mm Plastic Sheeting.
NOTES: RESULTS WILL VARY!
NOTES: Ground conditions will vary and during a flood event, you can expect the ground to be saturated which can have an adverse effect on the strength and stability of your T-Posts which is holding the weight of the water.
This configuration can be made stronger by using additional T-Posts and stronger wire.

Here is a similar technique where I used shipping pallets. In this example, it failed at 40" of depth but I went back and reinforced it with some 2x4's AND bought thicker T-Posts and was able to get it to overtop without failure. We will be posting that video at some point very soon
