I am trying to make similar study but I keep getting an error attached at the bottom, I think my problem is with the physics (Solid Mechanics) settings rather than the mesh as I have tried many different finer and coarser mesh settings. Is there any written tutorial on how to go through the solid mechanics settings for structural contact modeling? "Failed to find a solution for the initial parameter. Maximum number of Newton iterations reached. There was an error message from the linear solver. The relative error (4e+003) is greater than the relative tolerance. Returned solution is not converged. - Feature: Stationary Solver 1 (sol1/s1)"
When working with a structural contact model, you can use Form Assembly to create contact pairs.

Hi! Can I find the model file somewhere?
Is there any walk-through for this example? I want to follow this simulation for study. Please help me!

Is it possible to explain how to do this in 3d?
Apparently not

mohammed i am getting the same problem how did you solve it
I am getting this problem too. I am getting it for the part that is not touching initially
