Thanks Peter. So good to see the extra fix up bits such as scratching out. Keeping it real. I've been enjoying your videos for several months and have tried a few basic pics of your tutorials. Such fun and the time just flies away. I appreciate your quiet no talking format. Seeing you mix the named colours is great. Ive set up my pallette like yours. Its so wonderful to have create and produce little gifts for family members. My grandfather used to paint and my mum reminded me when i said i was starting painting... Very special. Thank you so much Peter for developing such uplifting, positive and creative work for the world to see.
Always wanted to learn water coloring. Kicked out of art class fifty two yrs ago for trying to help another student with learning disability. We were going to start into water coloring that week. Enjoy your work
I've been admiring your paintings for a while and finally tried painting the line and wash barn today. I painted for the first time in October and I am so proud of the way it turned out. Your paintings are just beautiful and your tutorials are easy to follow. Thank you!!!
So nice to watch you draw and paint this little gem. Thank you for sharing and making it so clear so that anyone could paint along with you. It is so very helpful to see the colors that you dip and mix your brush in to. The closed captioning for the areas in the video in which you forgot to restart the video was also very helpful. Thanks again! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos!
This is pure joy. This is a fine way to start the day. Your simplicity is brilliant and it's all so pleasing and warm and familiar to the the and to the memory. Somewhere in life.....in my youth....I have walked upon this scene. Thank you.... I'm going to try this one for sure.
Oh Peter......you make me chuckle! A “quick and easy for beginners”...........😉 As always, a wonderful piece. Your work keeps inspiring me to never give up! Another fabulous painting!
Revelation! I have already painted in the past (acrylic and oil) but without great passion. But here you have awakened something in me. I watched many of your clips and it's not over. But the best part is that you really gave me the taste to try, which I did. I will never have your talent but I loved it. I discovered a means of expression that really speaks to me. I am a lover of the landscapes that I look in a very different way since I know you. Thank you for sharing your talent and your art. Thank you so much. You are so talented. Merci beaucoup. Vous êtes tellement talentueux.
Hi Peter! I think I have watched everyone of your videos, and never tire of watching you mix paints, and your skillful application. Very envious of your drawing skills, very inspiring (I even bought the Platinum Century 3776 pen UEF nib, and love it!). I love the way you show your color mixing-thank you! Also thanks to Antonio for the beautiful music. Very relaxing in the mornings! Keep up the wonderful videos, and stay well!
Thank you peter for sharing your skills with us so very gifted artist always enjoy seeing you painting and it’s amazing how you get so much detail on to a small piece of paper so hope you have a great weekend as always thank you peter and god bless you always.
👋 Peter. I watch and rewatch many of your videos and always get that ah moment, feel that if artist gets that than success. The shading and layering spectacular and the feeling of a barn abandoned thrives. 😁👏👏👏👏👍❤❤❤ love your work, early look for new videos and keep all. Thank you for sharing 😁❤
Every time I watch you am awed. Omg you draw with a pen 😲 no eraser. Picked up supplies but am scared to do. I love your work. Lol, about record. Learn a lot but gotta get out of fear zone 🤤. Please keep doing videos👏👏👍👍❤❤
Hi Terri. Just jump in! Nothing to lose. I think a follower of mine, +Old Man said it best. "Exactly like Peter says, go ahead and ruin it. If you flip through my old sketch books you'll find maybe half a dozen really good works in each scattered across pages and pages of doodles, geometric shapes, a shopping list or three, phone messages, and even the odd stick figure storyboard. I used to get nervous about starting a new journal, but now I start it off with something nonsensical just to remind me that it's a sketch book not a museum hall for masterpieces. The key point is use it, draw, paint, sketch - practice is the only way to improve."
Peter Sheeler I did! I did it larger to put in an 11x14 inch frame. I think it turned out pretty well....I was happy and am giving it to a friend as a housewarming gift. I know she will love it!
I do like watching you draw and paint, the trouble is I spend so much time watching I don’t seem to get around to actually painting. Could you please let us know what music you are playing with this piece of art demo. thank you so much for the pleasure you give us.
Peter, could you please do some tutorials on how to simplify scenes? The town near me has a beautiful mix old buildings ranging from 500 yrs old, through regency, edwardian and victorian. I just can't seem to isolate and simplify one into an interesting painting - what do I keep in, what to leave out, what to add from imagination.
I am fairly new to water colors and only have cold pressed paper. My question is since there's a smoother side to CP paper can I sketch on that side of cold pressed paper or would it only work on hot pressed. Thanking you in advance for your reply. I am fascinated watching you sketch and then loosely fill in the water color....amazing!!!
Peter I love your work and have done a couple that turned out not too bad....so much fun. On the hidden barn you said you did a light wash after you finished the painting..what and how do you do that?? By the way I'm using hubby's tablet..I am Nancy not Tom.
Hi Nancy. If I feel some areas are too sharp, or I want to balance the the light, I wait until the piece is completely dry and apply a quick and thin wash to the entire painting.
Peter, i love what you do for and with watercolor art. I lean towards the transparent watercolor purist art but you have brought me new light on line-and-wash art. I bought the uniball vision elite ultra fine pen to try this style. I find that the ink bleeds when i aply the wash. Is this the same ink as in your deluxe uniball? Keep up the great work.
Hi Robert. So glad you enjoy this style. Never give up the traditional though. No, that is a different ink. Look for their pens that are marked as counterfeit proof.
I just love your paintings. I'm a raw beginner, are you able to tell me what brushes I should get to start off with. I see you use the Polar Flo flat brushes, what others could I get?
Hi Cathie. I can't recommend certain brands as I've had good and bad from all names. As for size, a #6 and #8 round plus the flat Are the three I would most use. As your own style developes you will learn which types and sizes work for you.
I love the way you sketch. I bought some art suplies to try this too, but...Is this a tavel set? And how does your palet look like in ful screen? Is it possible to make one video off a set u for a pallete like yours please?
Hi Julia. Yes it is the mixing tray from a travel set. In the video you can see almost the entire tray. I don't recommend buying it as your paying for their paints as well and they are very poor quality.
Thank you sir! Who needs valium when one can watch this!
LoL. Thanks
Watching your work is my great pleasure!

Thanks so much. Really enjoyed your comments. Time does fly when you're having fun.
I can’t wait to try and paint this. You make it look effortless but I know it’s also years of practice. Thanks.
I love your style!
Absolutely beautiful. I love your style and the way your drawings and paintings come alive.

Beautiful!
Merci j’ai beaucoup appris….je la regarderai certainement plusieurs fois merci encore c’est un plaisir
I love the dramatic look you get by the layers you put down. Each subtle color mix changes the effect. I am learning so much! Thank you.
Thanks Rex. Great comments. Always a pleasure to hear I've helped in some way.

Beautiful job as always.
This video reminds me a bit of a Nil Rocha video
Your economy of line and the border line style is indicative of someone with architectural training. Very nice 👍🏻.
No training, but thank you very much Bill

Gorgeous painting Pete. You have such a light touch with your brush. I hope someday I can have that same light touch.
Thanks. It will come with time as will your own unique style.
@@PeterSheelerart thanks Pete. As you can see by my paintings, I'm a little heavy handed.
Lovely little composition...the broken borders make it like a vignette...you have such a good imagination
Thank you very much Linda. Always appreciated :)

Peter, did you paint this from reference? If so, can you link it so we can see it? Beautiful work.
Yes, would love a reference link, it would add so much to your tutorials.
That's lovely.... Who's Sap green are you using? I'm looking for a more natural green mid green like that.
Windsor Newton, it's all in the description 🙃
Hi Peter. I use both Winsor Newton and da'Vinci but almost always mixed with something to tone it down.

Most excellent! Are you doing Haunted Hoses this year?
Great
Thank you very much Momchil. :)
Do you use any reference at all?
Did you*
It's inspired by a small painting I did long ago. I did not use a reference when I painted the original.
Why my hand can't move like that?
Maybe you don't shake as bad as I ;)
If I had just 1/5th of your talent Id be happy, as it is I'll just get a fifth of Courvoisier and get happy
