IMO, Blackpink's best performance is whole Coachella, they owned the stage in a way we've never seen before, they ganied a new public, many people there didn't even know who they were completely but they were screaming crazily, and till this day people keep remembering those days. The second best might be Japan Debut Showcase and third one SBS Gayo dejeon 2018 with that Jennie performance and then the girls joined and danced Solo

Honestly for some girl-groups it can get quite hard to find the "best stage" for some veteran groups. For example if I take Mamamoo, I could go for one of their Immortal Songs stage, but that's not really their own song. Or I could pick their Destiny performance on Queendom. For BP, Twice & RV you have a lot of choice too.

Izone’s performance of la vie en rose on mama was breathtaking. It was so cool, they changed the choreo to add the ribbons and they looked so professional. Can you believe that was just their debut song??
Not to mention the orchestral remix (MAMA HONG KONG) and the superb dance break (MAMA KOREA). And Yuri's professionalism after she lost the ribbon

They give out the award to the group with the “best dance performance” in the industry. in whatever you look at it, itzy’s MITM and Loco are just it. aespa could win the vocal performance award and i wouldn’t care since they have like one of the best vocals, but after itzy’s performance? sales is the only win aespa has over itzy. however, i don’t think sales are even considered by mnet since snsd lost in the same category with their IGAB which basically won in TH-cam award, etc, and broke records in sales and streams
Theres a criteria that the fans knew about for months, even if aespa didnt win it would have gone to oh my girls or brave girls I think. The award isn't based off the performance given that night and itzy was great but they weren't in the top 3 predicted winners. Next level was huge in SK in 2021 it was used in the 2022 presidential election and it was a trend to dance to it after getting your vaccine. The dance was just bigger and more popular than Mafia or Loco.

We all can agree, 2016-2019 was like THE golden age of K-pop! Especially 2018. Every group was dropping absolute bangers, and those award shows? Pure excitement.
As a midzy, id never been so happy and proud for them. MAMA was THEE night for itzy, we all know how talented itzy are, but that night really got then recognized by non midzys as well. Props to jyp for that. He has two very talented ggs twice and itzy, I hope he learns to treat them well.
