This is timely, considering that I can't stay away from TH-cam, lately.

I'm glad i grew up in an era with NO technology. We walked barefoot on grass, and played with soil.

The present day society has trouble being silent. No noise, no speech, no external stimuli. When we remain silent it causes us to dwell on our internal feelings, to make time for personal reflection and change. I am deeply concerned with the addiction that has occurred because of technology. Though the original development of it may have been meant for the good of mankind, it, like any other substance, if taken to the extreme, will destroy one's life. The re-introduction of moments of silence and one on one conversations with human beings can work wonders for the soul.

technology is like anything else really. of course too much of it is a bad thing. i really dont like the mindset of everyone treating it like it’s such an evil thing though. we’ve advanced and will keep advancing rapidly because of technology. the fact that young kids understand it now means that by the time they’re adults they’ll be able to help society progress even faster than previous generations because they’ve grown up on it and understand it fully

All the social media, apps, games etc. truly do not make it easy to stop. They are designed to keep you hooked :/

Would you consider doing a video on "planned obsolescence" ? ( the engineering of products to degrade quickly so consumers will have to purchase frequently ).

Definitely recommend the book 'Digital Minimalism' by Cal Newport! As Kevin talks about boredom, so those Cal in his books, explaining how boredom and solitude re crucial for our creativity and productivity. And solitude means the time when we have no input from other human being (no phone,TV, books, reading, music etc), that is in fact the time to get bored :)

Seriously, stop using the term "Luddite" to mean people afraid or somehow ideologically opposed to technology. Luddites were laborers who rejected automation of jobs by machinery of the industrial age; not "technology" as a whole.

I'm definitely a fan of boundaries being set. Because these smartphones are people's second brains now. They're not going anywhere. Learning how to responsibly use them is the best approach.

i agree with most of the points but i dont like the analogy of the photographer. if you photoshop anything out of the picture it will look crazy, think of a car

    When i was dating,
The person I'd be with would play on her phone rather than give me eye contact.
    Very annoying.

Not only all this but young kids are getting forward head syndrome that leads to hunchback from excessively looking down.
