I listened to him here and I got him. I get him when he ascertains the hustler nation. When he was speaking I saw him on the streets of Eldoret hustling. I saw him selling stuff to make end meets, I saw him deep in the night burning the midnight oil studying. I saw his determination. I saw his faith in God. I saw how it has carried him, ferried him from the bottom up. I saw it. I got it. I respected that. But he disappointed. He is angry. He is bogged down by anger. An enlightened soul once said: Anger is like holding a piece of hot coal in your hand, and then enclasping it, It burns and mutilates. Towards the end of his speech i sensed how anger is burning him up. His eyes were red, smoke came out of his nostrils and ears. The steam locked up in his body. And thats the energy he wants to unleash on us? He is vengeful. And when he asked his brigade to stand, he proclaimed - by saying "we will not bow down to you" - what holds them together, what glues them, whats brought them together. They are all angry, out for a fight, feels slighted and looking to even scores. They do not have a common ideology. Just anger.He lost a great moment here. If he came out and told us his story. Got real, told us of his struggle to come up, his hustle to make ends meet as he schooled, and how he finally made it. Then those he is trying to reach would have related, and maybe he could have called it the Kenyan dream. He could have said that he will make that possible for those hustling to be able to make it as he did, only more easily. And he could have sold that as what him and his people are about. But coming out the way he came shows a need for more time to grow. To simmer. What does his issues with President Uhuru have to do with us? And when he calls Mzee Raila kitendawili he loses big time, all the time. He shows disrespect, and arrogance; I flinch every time i hear that. Azimio can take that very easily from him. All Mzee Raila has to do is stand there and give a kitendawili and they would own the phrase. These folks do not understand Kenyans. All we want is the truth thats it.
