I’m glad I’m not the only one disturbed by people’s obsession with Elisa Lam. I understand wanting to know what happened, but the stories people have been spreading about her is so upsetting.

My best friend has severe bipolar disorder with occasional psychotic episodes, and I can tell you from experience - psychosis can cause people to do some highly unusual and dangerous things. I definitely think that could have been a factor in this case. My heart hurts for Elisa and her fam ❤

  • @alisaelliott6027

Just a note: individual’s with severe bi-polar when not on the correct medication or incorrect doses can have psychotic break episodes that can lead to hallucinations visually, auditory, etc. Don’t know if that is what happened to Elisa but it is possible 😢

I find it odd that the roof and tank wasn't locked and alarmed. It seems everything has been locked for years. A hotel in the middle of LA would have to have security. A building full of strangers some of which are certainly partying with drugs and alcohol wouldn't stay open long with people playing on the roof.

Shanghaiing people was very prevalent on the west coast. Seattle has an entire underground city full of tunnels where the reason for it was the Shanghai trade. Love you guys. Keep up the good work. You should consider doing viewings on New Mexico. After all, they don't call it the Land of Enchantment for no reason. All kinds of things going on here.

    • @ClaraBell3452
      @ClaraBell3452 ปีที่แล้ว +7

The tunnels were not originally built for the purposes of shanghaiing, but they definitely were used for it after the fact. The real history of why there are a lot of tunnels in Seattle is really fascinating. And funny because it's kind of dumb why they did it. At one point the city was like a waffle. With the streets sitting an entire story above the buildings. Where the sidewalk would have been, was a giant ditch (which would later become the tunnels. So people would have to enter the building by either building a makeshift bridge to the second level, or by climbing a ladder down into the ditch in order to access the first level. This lasted long enough that people even built their second story to look like the fancy grand entrance. Actually the more prevalent place for shanghaiing is in Portland, Oregon.

In regards to eliza having a "manic" episode due to not taking her medication on time, the symptoms of a manic episode or hallucinating doesnt have to come from her diagnoses, but could come from not taking the medication. Im specifically on a medication for panic attacks that you CANNOT quit cold turkey, so not taking it for days can cause hallucinations. I hope that helps or clarifies for that part!

Something worth mentioning (about Elisa Lam's case): One thing many don't realize is that California is not Florida. The desert can cool off just as much at night as it heats up in the day. If one is many floors up in the unbroken prevailing winds it could be very easy to become hypothermic. Paradoxical undressing is a very common symptom of hypothermia, and if one were stuck in a tank of water at such an elevation in the night, hypothermia would be highly possible. However I'm not sure how well it might stick out to a medical examiner. I know next to nothing about medicine but I'd hazard a guess that it doesn't leave any obvious marks.

In regards to Elisa Lam: This is SUCH a tough, heartbreaking case.💔 I just want to say I believe the man you're seeing is real (Liv). I think he *stops* for you because he was protected & erased (from the video footage/the crime)-literally.
Yep, sounds wild, but I think Elisa Lam was targeted by a very well connected psychopath. *adjusting tinfoil hat* 😃☺️
This case makes me extremely uncomfortable too (Em). Why? I think it's because we are so proficient at blaming the victim, & that is exactly what happened with Elisa Lam.😭💔
I wonder if you are seeing the same man I see? He wanted her, took her, held her somewhere for a little while (which caused her med levels to decrease), then got rid of her.😭😭😭 He had lots of help with this. After that, his wealthy family made sure any problems with authorities evaporated, including altering the surveillance footage. This guy straddled the worlds of both the elite & skid row...if that makes sense? Really scary guy, but also charming in many ways. I see the Cecil Hotel as being like a large, bustling aquarium with very dark & sinister corners. This guy (and other unpleasant people do/have done this too!) would *window shop* & pick out vulnerable fish that would catch his eye. He REALLY liked Elisa. That's what I see. I don't think she was his only victim.😬
I can't tell if he is still doing this today or not. I think this particular guy has mostly moved on from the Cecil as he couldn't take more chances there after Elisa's death.
I could be totally wrong, of course!
Thanks for taking this one on! You are both incredibly gifted. 😻
    Great video! 💜💜💜

I watched a documentary on Elisa Lam and it was always a very weird, tragic and sad case. Nothing really fit together and it was just all over the place. Thank you for your insight! I wonder about the correlation between seeing/sensing spirits as a medium, and also the effects drugs/medication/mental things can have on that. Cause in some practices drugs are used to "help" with sipiritual stuff. I wonder if its the same as with neurodivergency? That in some ways they can be just that - hallucinations, but in some rare moments it may help you "open up" towards the spiritual aspects? It's very interesting and confusing, I wonder what you think about it? Also on another note - since I started watching you I'm just constantly drawn towards the door next to your couch, as if I'm expecting to find soeone just standing there behind the glass. I fully expect it to be just a weird doorway/its a contrasting, dark spot in a bright room thing, so it draws your gaze, but still, it makes me feel weird. Every video, like 60% of the time, I'm staring at the door 🤔

I find that VERY interesting. That does make sense about the young lady who passed. It did have me baffled as well. I have a family of mental disorders and since I do have abilities, that is something I hear which is unfortunate if your in an area full of psychic bad energy and you have a mental disorder. The likelihood of that person being effective is way higher and can get easily possessed, WHICH THIS IS NOT IT! Just saying. I don't agree they SHOULD convert that place into anything. Honestly it would take many good energetic ppl to cleanse that area. That would take time but that would be the best route before trying to build something else. Unfortunately we live in a society that is money-driven n that would not be the case bc someone would see the loss in revenue while it was being cleansed.

(I’ve been to gravity hill a couple times and to the battleship several times over the years -I say as if I have decades of age behind me….I’m 26…🤣). I’ve also always been obsessed with the Bentonville Battlegrounds, since the field trip I went on in 6th grade. A couple classmates and I had an odd experience that I don’t know if we made it up in our heads cause we were excited and “thought” we saw something walking through the trails, or if it was *actually* something we did, in fact, truly perceive.

4:37 Sounds like SOME spirits are trying to confuse you, Liv: that Marilyn/FDR reference has more to do with L.A.'s Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, than the Cecil, downtown.
As an Angeleno native, where Liv is hitting her (non-manipulated) marks concerns that 'Elisa Lam' elevator...
7:33 Black top/green skirt, or green top/black skirt??

This feels like a typical 1960s case where the cops were like
“A woman was crazy? Oh, she definitely went crazy and accidentally killed herself then. 👍 case closed!”
Also, I was diagnosed at the age of 20 as being bipolar. I have never known people to hallucinate, but to have a psychotic break, and then hallucinate, makes sense. But during these psychotic breaks, everyone around could pick up that something was waaay off. It feels almost impossible for her to have a psychotic break, and no one around her to notice her or her behavior. Even on a strip, full of drug addicts. (Which I also used to be 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️) 😂

The Cecil has been turned into Low income housing/apartments, but ppl who just want to investigate the paranormal 24/7 at Cecil have been buying apartments and keeping them vacant. Ps. The rusty brown looking water was documented on video, but it's the ppl complaining about the extremely low water pressure that got the workers to look in the water tank. Also there was a guy, he was the janitor/maintenance man. Days after the tragedy, he discovered the water tank lid was open and closed it, not knowing Lam's body was inside. The body was discovered almost a month later.

OK, I have an honest curiosity question that is not at all meant to be offensive, but I wonder if a true medium has ever talked to some who has hallucinations of people and seen if they can see them too like maybe not knowing that they're a medium? Strictly out of just wondering not saying that the hallucinations aren't real or anything. Cuz It made me wonder when you said I could see the man she seen before but then he just went away and you were just wondering if maybe that's what she had seen herself.

Elisa's tox screen came back saying she had the correct amount of meds for her bipolar and no illegal substances. It was Richard Ramirez.

Why would Richard kill her in that way not his mo and why would Richard be stuck there he stayed there a couple nights . He is still here but he is drawn to people who call to him so you can be in a random location if you call for him he will come to talk.
I have known many psychic who have contacted him he is alway willing to talk and show you part of his life or what he remembers . He isn’t this evil spirit but he kind just wonders some times if he doesn’t like you he might play with you a little bit he just wants to talk like in life he talked to many people and sometimes he might say something crazy to take them off gard or mess with them .

I do believe the dark sprit is a different sprit and he been there for a while but he is the one who make people kill them self there . But it is easy to understand why you would think it is Richard . But the dark sprit had been there since the beginning .

Yeah Overnight and others have been there and there is a lot going on. I think the first four floors have been redone to house homeless to stay for a very small fee now. Apparently there is a male “stoner” spirit that still hangs out on the third floor. A medium went there and let the spirit kind of channeled him so you could see her whole personality change to the stoner spirit.

Bella Sloan also made a video about Elisa Lam, she said Elisa was killed by a guy why was the son of a rich or political figure who was doing a ritual sacrifice. That's why the murder was able to be covered up and made to look like how it was made to look.🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ I wonder what you guys would think of her video.

To easy and Richard Ramirez still is in the Cecil a well known couple one draws who she sees and her husband is a medium and I’d dead on forgive the pun. They had gotten in touch with Richard and even said over a sweep you found me…

I don’t think he is stuck there I believe he visits or is summons there by people looking for him . There is nothing really bounding him there but his spirit is still around

I also don’t believe the serial killer was not a satanist. I do think his was into the occult, I think he was into dark things. I think he claimed to be a satanist because he wanted to appear as a scary person. I also think this, in his mind, made him feel like he had power over people - in particular his victims. Blessings.

I've tried feeling the energy of this place. It's so confusing about the girl because so many theories and stories have been made that the truth is wrapped in the energy of all the speculation. I think the man feels like a projection of a dellusion crossed with stories of a "man."

How is it paranormal, could be a live person or could be the door fell down once she went in. Could of been lots of things...and also I never said it was her bipolar.people miss the information of girls asking the hotel to get her out their shared room because of her strange behaviour.
I just hope people stop going to Cecil hotel to contact her and let her rest in peace,

Anyone with bipolar disorder can, but not always, have psychotic episodes. Not uncommon at all. Especially, if they are not medicated or under medicated. I'm a psychiatric nurse with over 20 yrs experience living and working in NYC.
