Funny, in the fangame I'm making the early route birds are Normal/Ice types! It's a chicken that can only evolve into a rooster if it's male, but the female has a powerful signature ability that actually take direct advantage of the male's moveset. They're meant to be played together in double battles, because chickens are very social and protective of one another.
The fact that you just knuckled down and taught yourself to draw your own Fakemon for this is incredible. Your end products came out beautiful too. I love the mosquitoes (something I thought I'd never say) and would definitely shiny hunt them. They're one of those Pokemon that could easily slot into many other regions too, given the wide distribution of mosquitoes in the real world. Also oh my god that salmon line, I need it 🥺

Hearing the inspiration behind each one and how they influence the design and evolution stages is amazing. I absolutely love these fakemon! And as a bug enjoyer in particular I'd even say that I couldn't choose who is my favorite between the family of Leavanny and Vitrafly. And Mantileaf was my favorite of these 8 fakemon you showed today. Now on what could be called the critical side I'd have the slighest suggestion about Salmight: what if in addition to Intimidate, one of the common abilities it had were Battle Armor? It might be less competitively useful, but I think it thematically it would make a ton of sense. This would probably mean also giving a secondary ability to its pre-evolution, but I think that Rattled would work really well for that too, keeping with your theme of "almost defenseless fish who runs away" turning into "hardened by training and ready to defend themselves and others". Anyway, I would love to see what other fakemon you will do in the future! Your work is awesome!
My fave was the little trout egg pokemon. I just love the concept of a little fish swimming in a protective bubble. Although the type for the porkupine was awsome, theres never been a normal/ice type in the games, much less a porkupine. The mosquito pokemon just seems like the perfect little pet to jave on your shoulder or something ❤❤❤
Heck yes! I love your designs, with my favorite being the fish line. From a cute little egg I would protect with my life to a Water/Steel behemoth that would protect my life, I would definitely add that to my team.
Man those fakemon are absolutely amazing! Living in the Pacific Northwest, all of those animals you used for inspiration are a common sight for me as well. My favorite was probably Bristice, it looks so huggable and cute! If you could do a fox like fakemon next it would be awesome!

I like the Mossquito line, but the final evolution would've been more impactful if you'd based each evolution on a mosquito's life stages - larvae, pupa, adult, in my opinion. Overall, awesome! I love whenever I see a water, steel typing on any fakemon because it is such a rare typing in normal pokemon and it is also super strong really aggravating to battle against can't wait to see more.
I think the 500 hour were worth it the fakemon are professional!!! I think that the mossquito line just looks like a older version of the other and i can't see the glass painting on the final version

I live in the north west so I'm obsessed with these videos one thing I had in mind was quail for a regional bird or a Marmot which are typically found in trashy places or by rivers. Again really love that your doing this!!!
You're doing a great job! I would encourage you to others poketuber artists and collaborate. I'd say the best series of fakemon I've seen was from Subjectively. The strengths of that series was how often he went back and applied what he learned as he went along to old designs. It made for great content. Your designs and concepts are very good for a beginner. The strongest designs are Bristice, Guppegg and Vitrafly! I really like that Bristice was a 2 stage evo. I feel the salmon line could have been a good 2 stage line more akin to Gyarados or Milotic. The 2nd stage to the bug line also feels a but redundant, being just a bigger mosquito than the 1st stage. Both are interesting bug pokemon but they're individual themes (infantry and guard, respectively) aren't translated into the design. Without those themes being more evident, the 3 stage line isn't justified. Keep up the good work. Grateful to have found you and I eagerly look forward to your next videos.

Mossquito is a genius name for a grass mosquito fakemon! And that shiny Vitrafly is stunningly beautiful, I would love to add that to my team! Salmight is a very well drawn, however there's something about the style that doesn't fit for a pokemon Bristice and Glaciquil however, are a good fakemon, though as you said, they certainly will be compared to Palworld and Sandslash

I am working on my own fakemon for the fanstay region, and I thought to make the fire starter's last evolution have a water type with the fire typing, and I made it a 2 headed dragon that I try to base it off of chill and char from Prodigy.
I think you should me a ground type and a fire type armadillo Pokémon, and when it evolves the ground type becomes the steel type and it has like a wrecking ball on its tail I don’t care if you use this, but I would like you to use it to see one of my own ideas in a future video. It’s kind of like my first time watching your videos but I like I love them.😊😊😊😅😅🎉
i also have some ideas like a fire-fairy litwick convergent based on cake (first form based on a cupcakd with a candle, second form based on a layer cake with many candles, third form based on a giant multie tear cake with dozens of candles) or a convergent of togapie that is a fairy-dragon type warior with a steely egg shell for armor that's evo line is a bushi solder/warior

*cracks knuckles viciously* there can only be one mosquito Fakémon… and it’s MINE for the taking (when I was designing my first Fakémon region, and I still am, as soon as i cleaned up the starters, my mind went to mosquitoes, since I wanted a spider inspired pseudo legend. With the help of my friend, we made a three stage line for a mosquito Pokémon!)
I'm sorry that this is going to be long but, maybe make a 3 stage evolution line which is a fighting dark type tiger. stage 1: budcub = buddy + cub, stage 2: tigaid = tiger + aide, stage 3: leprentis = leopard + apprentice. I thought it should have the same evolution levels as folifur but you didn't really include that so I figured that lv16 and lv32 would do. it is figting type untill it evolves to its final form when it gains dark type because it is actually the right hand man of feabruin the grss starter or right hand pokemon I guess) but since the beginning those two pokemon are the bestest of friends and its job is to protect the forest at night when faebruin is sleeping or just doesent do it as well hence the dark typing but they do it only when they evolve to their final forms because all throghout their lives folifur which then becomes brambear teaches them all they need to learn to protect the forest when they (faebruin) cannot protect it as well. these pokemon tend to have a confident but playfull personallity as they think they can do anything because they are taught by the "keeper of the forest" but enjoy a good playing session. they are commonly found in folifur groups in small numbers compared to the grass starters and most of the time have one favourite which he becomes the right hand man for. I thought they need to have the opposite stats of folifur brambear and feabruin but I didn't see how it can be good at sp.atk and sp.def and not at regular atk and def beacuse they are fightig type so do whatever you want with the stats because you know better than me on how balanced pokemon should be and if you do end up creating this please show my comment on the screen. hope I helped :)

Koridoku is said to be connected to Eternatus and Kyurem this Pokémon is said to be The cold poison if you can find a Lady with a Dragalge and Froslass she can tell you more about this mythical powers secrets and stories of Koridoku and Samuidoku. This just a fan made Constant so don’t take it seriously.😅 koridouk the true cold poison Pokemon samuidoku the arctic toxic Pokémon.
What about a Ghost type Pokémon themed around the Iron Goat trail near Skykomish? Or any ghost type themed around the multitude of ghost towns in Oregon and Washington.
BRO these Simply where one of the best fakemon I have ever seen it was definitely worth the 500+ hours if you ever do a regional form I have an idea for a regional sycther with crossbows for arms a fast special attacker that uses its speed to get a distance away from the Pokémon any maybe it can evolve into a canon that is a bulk hard hitter
First Vid that I've seen and let me say this was great! This deserves the 3k and I'm surprised it hasn't yet. When it does get the 3k and if my idea gets picked here's my idea. I would like it to be a robot like thing like golurk, but it's grassy and basically the forest variant of golurk. (This could also just be a regional variant of golurk).
To be honest I’ve been trying to make a California based region with the capital of California “Sacramento” being where the Pokémon league is. Also I don’t have any designs for fakemon but some of my ideas were: A dark electric type Pachirisu based on grey squirrels and a regional bird based on the greeter roadrunner.

So far with the starters, the themes, and jist jist at the incredible now ideas of early mons thst are powerhouses but still 'weak'. I'm suggesting a pterodactyl - electric flying with a move boosting speed and special attack - signature: Storm Bombardment.
Please do a stegosaurus - electric rock type. And it has a signature move where lightning shoots out of its plates and the move is called spike-ning.

I just watched every guide to drawing pokemon I could, studied how the shading and colors looked, and used procreate because I had an iPad

First Vid that I've seen and let me say this was great! This deserves the 3k and I'm surprised it hasn't yet. When it does get the 3k and if my idea gets picked here's my idea. I would like it to be a robot like thing like golurk, but it's grassy and basically the forest variant of golurk. (This could also just be a regional variant of golurk).
To be honest I’ve been trying to make a California based region with the capital of California “Sacramento” being where the Pokémon league is. Also I don’t have any designs for fakemon but some of my ideas were: A dark electric type Pachirisu based on grey squirrels and a regional bird based on the greeter roadrunner.

I'll admit. I have on/off watching cause of suggested shorts and I'll say with this idea. I'm loving it heavily. So far with the starters, the themes, and jist jist at the incredible now ideas of early mons thst are powerhouses but still 'weak'.
