- Covid testing has gotten out of control from Omnicron, but I have to get a test to cross the Canadian border driving to Alaska... and the problems with the lemon-sale Suzuki Samurai I just bought are even more out of control. Let's replace a transfer case, 3rd member / rear differential, axle seals and wheel bearings while we're at it...

I feel like people are getting tested just to confirm it’s covid. I had it only reason I know. Wife got ear issue and went in. It felt like a cold. I wouldn’t have went to the dr for it. Wouldn’t have taken a day off for it

It's super cool that you found the parts and even found people to help you install them right on the trailer on the side of the road. It's double cool that Dirt Lifestyle just happened on by and gave you a place to park and sleep and work on the Suzuki too. Timmy may not always have the best luck, but when he does get some good luck, it's really good.

Love those Suzuki Samurai's, had a dozen of them in past 40 years, both my daughters grew up with one of their own in the High Sierras. Over modified units are usually either beat bad and put up wet, or not finished yet ran out of money and sold to guys like you in the middle of the night at some rest stop...That one you have has alot of cheap bling glued on.. Maybe call this The Shit Happens Channel...And name your Samurai the Shit Magnet. Turning lemons into yellow snowballs;

If anyone one part fails The end result is It does not move the arm in the transfer case Or it only went in halfway And chewed the gears in the case ..not fun Last time it was a $20 Ball valve that stuck And as i was driving become unstuck...grinddddddddd tap tap tap tap (cooked) I feel your pain man : )

Everyone I know that thought they had the common cold got tested and it was omicron lol. The symptoms are a lot less severe then normal, just transmits easier.

I like the idea of towing a second vehicle especially one that is usable for maneuvering back country. Not familiar with the Samurai but did have a CJ2a that I rebuilt and am more familiar with them. Happy and safe travels!

Just a tip. You need those tapered inserts in the hub bolts. They wont last very long without them. Flog out and come loose in no time. Also there is a circlip inside on end of c.v shaft. Very necessary to allow c.v joints to work without destroying themselves
Good to know, maybe I should order those hub bolts. They have lock washers so don't think they'll back out but maybe they will.
