This bag looks great no doubt, Bellroy really always nails that part of the design, but the lack of external pocket, especially in the back, is a bit of a strange decision and really kills it for me.
This is a great review, you folks are really nailing this. I appreciate the calm, professional, and to the point approach. Also the real world experience is such a benefit. Some other reviewers are making stuff up on the go, and try to figure out what could be the use for some of the design choices and use weird examples such as "you can put a frisbee here" (to a padded camera compartment). You never do this, and I really love you don't do this.
I think through a long time to purchase the bag. Nonetheless very hard not to have a quick access at the back of the bag and there is no zip inside. So let it go in the end..
Love your reviews Lauren. FWIW back pocket is great for kindle or iPad mini. And main pocket can fit a Nintendo switch but it’s a little tight. I couldn’t wait for the review to buy this one 😂
Been using the 12l size, great design, lots pockets, overall happy with it, only issue is shoulder strap way too slippery, slides down every 5 seconds if you only wear on one side.
Bigger version is almost same just the front pocket with key leash have 2 pockets now. Over all everything is open space not much small organizing pockets but its nice bag. I have both 12L and 6L. Can fit 13" MacPro on the 12L. No much padding and structure to hold the shape of the bag.

Back zipper pocket perfect for iPad mini. I bought the bag because of that pocket.

Seems some improvements are required begining with an external pocket.
