Excellent and concise. We call SRR....Systems / Read / React only we added a B/B (blocker Burned); This is your front row is slow to the block, or the setter zips a set or free ball set they move low and quick... Defense moves up and should expect the hit
Im pretty late, but I feel like the same applies, if you look at the direction the setter is facing, where their hands are and what direction they see to be aiming for, then you can adjust accordingly, and as for the hitter, you can still look at their chest and shoulder to see what their planning so you can improve the block. Hope that helps
I would say sign 1: the setting is behind the position where the player jumps from - tip or roll 2: the ball passes the line between the attacking arm and the antenna - tip 3: if the player are going to use the hand that in the side where his shoulder is most forward on his body - tip You can jump with to hands up like you will make a setting and still have your body in a position to make a powerful spike, as long the ball is still in front of you.
Good stuff Donny. Have you seen the lecture by Karch Kiraly on the topic? It's interesting stuff. They do a lot of video scouting on the national team for tendencies. They even go look for things like the amount of curl in the legs when the hitter goes up to scout for a tip or roll shot.
Can't go wrong with our version of Jordan. I'm inclined to think he hates losing more than Jordan too from his AVP days. LOL. Only man ever to win gold medals in one sport on two different surfaces. GOAT. I just hope our national team can pull it together after that loss to Canada. They really botched that one.
I am a right-handed middle blocker, but I go for the spike with right-left-right and it's supposed to be left-right-left. I need some help to fix that and I hope you can show some drills. Thank you
5:38 if they make the statue of liberty as you say, and you move in from of the 3 meter line they can easily tip it past you. The middle back should have moved to the left to defend the spike. If you move forward as you say he would have to far to cover right side behind you, if he moves to the middle so that he could cover the right side then he would get in trouble if they shot it to the left corner.
I am a block away but it cant able to block nowadays what happened to my dream ever understand then I am blocking and confused what to do and while do while dropping ulcer how to drop a ball in front of a blog and how to catch up Lok I can't understand confusing in this before able to do it now what you meant to me I can't understand please help me in this on block in because I want to improve my talking skills but I am not getting the way how I am improving how the workout with your card I will do it in which workout I will do to improve it please help me in this place this place because my game is going first day by day and I don't want to spoil my game I want to improve it please help me
Mar Baxter From my experience and playing as a libero, you usually don't block tips unless you're above it. If you try to reach back for it, it'll only make it harder for your defense to get to the ball after a tip.
“statue of liberty” “ t-rex arms” this guy comes up with ingenious analogies
Lol.. well caught bro 🔥🔥
That t-rex really cleared things up for me
Hey Donny thnx for your coaching I am using your tips and selected my clg team thank you keep rocking man

Sorry if this sounds like a common sense question, but can a setter that starts from the back row still jump set while in the front?
What about reflexes for a fastest spikes? Drills for that
can u make about how to feint a ball
What numbers do hitters say like when I play people will say 9 or 4 what numbers are there for each hitter
What's your position?
t-rex arm *show a real t-rex*

Wrong hand works well until you play against someone that can hit with both
Any tips, tricks or self reminders you have for keeping your weight/momentum forward when digging or passing a serve?
Stay on the tips of your feet and keep your heels off the ground and that should help you keep your weight/momentum forward!
@@estherclements1013 thanks for the tip esther
❤
how can u block a feint or tips?

I can't transfer my momentum to the ball when I spike or jump serve do you have any tips?
I can spike with both my hands
How to defence easy?
Me who did better spikes with my weak hand rather my dominant hand😭
1:26 that ball could easily have been smashed giagonal!
3:49 the free blocker would be killed if they did as you say in that situation.
The kid at 2:21 is so cute
