The 1st time I encountered the Oni was crazy. The player was very aggressive and I didnt know what to expect since it was my 1st time. So he 1st started chasing me im like ok this aint too bad. So as I was about to try and run around an object all of a sudden I heard him roar and his heavy footstep waa speeding up. I was like wtf I wasnt expecting that shit and it actually kinda scared me lol. Anyway he ended up killin me lol.
I love everything about the Oni. The music is ominous yet terrifying at the beginning. The closer he gets, the more rage you can feel. His figure and backstory make him out to be an unkillable titan.

At least I personally am not a big fan of going vs Nurse (and she has really high potential) but that's mainly because I never run Iron Will or dead hard or any other meta perk for that matter which makes it really difficult "looping" a nurse. I don't think Oni is weak at all though, I bought him recently thanks to the event shards and I love playing him! It's so hard getting a demon dash into demon strike but he's so fun and when you get enough pressure to have your power up basically 24/7 you can basically feel the survivors dread lol. I always run a BP build and I'm kinda struggling filling up his deviousness even with distressing though.
The Oni is by far the scariest killer in the game, to this day. His music is thunderous, intense, overwhelming and loud, just like the Oni himself. Combined with his insane screaming, the thumping of his boots, and the pounding from his club, this killer never fails to make me panic.
In terms of music slingers is the scariest for me cause you hear that little layer 2 jingle than you see a bullet appear on your screen and than you enter chase and that music is just horrifying

For those who remember what the PTB version of Oni’s chase sounded like, am I the only one who thinks it would have been a cool idea to use both versions of the chase music by tying it to the Oni’s power? Out of blood fury, it could be the PTB one as it’s more toned down and rhythmic. Really brings out the samurai, sword wielding nature of the Oni. But then the live one we have here is absolutely brimming with fury and supernatural aggression. Something that is perfect for Blood Fury. I think the two themes playing off of each other in game would be a really nice mechanic.

I really like the Oni theme. His music for the Terroradius reminds me a little of war drums that get closer and closer... until the apocalypse finally occurs with the Chase. His roar (over the map) and his heavy footsteps that can be heard from 16-20 meters away (correct me if I'm wrong) are insane.
As an Oni main I'm so proud they chose this over the PTB music back in the day. The cosmetics he's gotten as of late are also so cool, what a time to be an Oni main my dudes
Dunno who remembers this, but back then Oni actually had a totally unique chase theme from the killer's pov, that I can best describe as "a traidtional Japanese cover of Myers' theme." I'd like to imagine if that was just his regular chase theme that both sides heard for when he wasn't using his power, only for it to blow up into his actual chase theme when he is in demon form. It's like, you're playing it safe, trying not to give Oni the blood he needs-- but then he gets it one way or another, and just like that, the game is telling you "no more pre-dropping pallets, it's time to RUN-"
Kind of sad how they made both Survivor and Killer themes the same when a bug made the Killer Pov theme to quiet instead of just you know fixing it. Really removed a rather cool feature from a cool character that I wish they reattempted

I find Deathslinger more intimidating. My taste in intimidation comes from calm and unnerving things, which perfectly matches Deathslinger. His cold blank stare in his trailer scares me, and his terror radius and chase music scares me. While I do find it funny sometimes, its usually terrifying. The 24 - 16 meter radius sounds so haunting and mysterious, that it makes me feel like I’m being watched. However, in terms of the scariest killer, that award still goes to Myers for me. There are times where that guy just comes out of nowhere and jumpscares me. His chase music also scares me, especially since its the classic chase theme from the movie but a bit more intense and aggressive. As always, I respect your opinion.
He possibly the biggest killer in the game in terms of size/mass seeing as he is so much bulkier than every other killer and he might way around 500 pounds judging from how loud his footsteps are.

Layer 3 - The city plunges into a dark state and everyone is screaming and crying louder than usual, the tint of fog starts covering the city you are in, you rush to cover but look out only to see blood splattered everywhere, all your friends have now perished, in the slight tint of fog you see a tall, dark, brawny entity. Layer 4 - IT'S HERE! A somewhat GIANT being that resembles a "Oni" is chasing after you! Run! Run as fast as you can! You rush your family to safety before the Oni reaches you, he is chasing after you, this is the sprint for your life, you and your stamina decides whether you live or not during this terrifying situation, the whole city is dead but you and your family, whatever will you do?!

The first 0:00 for me: "Oh, it's him...." Then at 0:55: "My anxiety is kicking now, I don't see him, and he to hear him........." Then at 1:50: "I'm in danger, screw this gen, I'm running for my life, I refuse to be near him, I don't- Then at 2:45: "NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!" This killer has given me anxiety up to the roof due to one match, but I can't deny this music from him. This is music when it's a fight to the death.
the worst part of this chase theme is the fact that in game you pretty much only hear it at the start of the match. after that it's just roaring and instant-downs with like the first three seconds playing.
I remember when I first heard the Oni’s scream. I was just playing and minding my own business, and then all of a sudden, I heard this loud "RAAAAAUUUURGH" scream and I yelled: "OH, SH*T, ARE WE FIGHTING THE HULK?", and I instantly hid in a locker.

Layer 1 - It's a normal day near your area, sudden feelings of slight terror surround you and others, but you still have a sense of hope for no apparent reason... Something seems off in your neighbourhood, could something be there? Maybe it's okay for now...
Layer 2 - Terror increases and a wrathful feeling is brung upon the city, people are falling and dropping to the ground at random intervals at time, something is upon the city, people are crying and scared, they don't know what to do about this sudden occurance, something is truly among us at this time, everyone is rushing to cover from an invisible enemy.
Layer 3 - The city plunges into a dark state and everyone is screaming and crying louder than usual, the tint of fog starts covering the city you are in, you rush to cover but look out only to see blood splattered everywhere, all your friends have now perished, in the slight tint of fog you see a tall, dark, brawny entity.
Layer 4 - IT'S HERE! A somewhat GIANT being that resembles a "Oni" is chasing after you! Run! Run as fast as you can! You rush your family to safety before the Oni reaches you, he is chasing after you, this is the sprint for your life, you and your stamina decides whether you live or not during this terrifying situation, the whole city is dead but you and your family, whatever will you do?!

the worst part of this chase theme is the fact that in game you pretty much only hear it at the start of the match. after that it's just roaring and instant-downs with like the first three seconds playing.

I remember when I first heard the Oni’s scream. I was just playing and minding my own business, and then all of a sudden, I heard this loud "RAAAAAUUUURGH" scream and I yelled: "OH, SH*T, ARE WE FIGHTING THE HULK?", and I instantly hid in a locker.
