When i did my first grind i didnt really know how to HM, once i learned from u and others it sped up that red deer grind on emerald coast, took 1900ish kills and it spawned. On to my 2nd red deer grind on cuatro calinas and man this grind is much quicker, aprox 500-600 kills in and 90% of my zones are shot down, and in 2 weeks I've spawned 6 piebald (level 5-7) and my first ever melanistic level 7. Map just starting to scream great one is looming with a ton of mythicals and 2 more diamonds in 24 hrs. All your tips and tricks really do accelerate the speed at which the great one spawns. Hello Lady, great video, just one thing that I see no one talk about, what about the lakes that have like 5, 6 and 7 drink zones (red deer Te Awaroa), do I setup on top of a zone and just shoot at another or do I setup away from the lake and try to sneak in and shoot as many as I can ( there are a lot of trees in the way, so I can’t setup far away from the lake)? Also, what is the spook distance from shooting in the games? Starting my first GO grind and I’m kinda lost on those, thank you and love your videos, you got me into this game
This is real mathematical science :D If you are able to create follow-up zone (your pick up tent is also used for shooting for next zone). Then when you shoot 2zones - you need only 3tents or you shoot 4zones and you need only 5tents. More deers you shoot, then it will take you more time - so animals will respawn and you wont have to deal with situation that they havent respawned yet. I have 3x herd zones on same lake (North East lake), but I just dont know how to set up on all 3 zones without long running and not shooting in the back. So I simply made one of them exterior and not shooting there. And I picked different zone as main. Also keep in mind if u have what I call "super zone" which is several herd zones at one place (my super zone has 7males and 18females). You can start your grind here, and if u see only one herd, shoot it and other herds which arent there yet wont be spooked so after some time they will come back, so I check this zone 3times during one go and there are almost always deers. Also when u shoot at two zones from same spot, using same tents. Just shoot one early and before you change time check it again and there can be deers on the other. (sometimes they get somehow spooked and wont show). As lady said in one of her videos that you can do grind on this lake. That situation would be nightmare for me. I really hate my "super zone" even there are a lot of male deers every single time. Ideal zone for me is 2males and 3females and nothing more.
This HM stuff hurts my head lol. Gonna stick to completing the non DLC missions to build my cash for now. Tried out MP and it’s a blast, the other maps are so much fun!! Although I had somebody swipe a nice Mule deer and a Pronghorn on SRP… was not very pleased lol
Lady I have a question. If you have found all the zones and shoot other zones down like that there is left only one animal and no more respawns comes expect your main zones. So I wonder where the dead zones animals go?
I personally think Crocs are the best. The biggest reason is croc zones are along the coast. When you shoot out a zone they just come back to the beach. So you find way more, way faster

I would leave them if they are lvl 3 65-82. I found many solo zones in my herds, I would mark the animals then check their drinking indicator. Remember which animal NOT to shoot and keep rotating. I did eventually spawn in a Great One. Working on #2 now. Still no super rares which is shitty but a ton of Diamonds.
I really needed this for my fallow grind. I do have a question. On Te Awaroa I have the situation that I have multiple herds in one zone, making it very hard to manage when two or more herds are present at the same time, which is quite often actually. Would you delete the zone or would you keep it as is?
what do you do about predators? I'm 600 kills and 14 diamonds in on a grind and one of my best main shooting lakes on medved has wolves and lynx passing through them spooking the moose. I already lost 2 drink zones from wolf attacks, not realizing I was close enough to overlap my zone.
Lady, I have a question. You mention picking up kills, now I always do. However, recently I had the game crash right after shooting 2 Diamonds on 1 Lake. I did not get those animals, will this cause issues in the Grind?
I typically wait 10-15 min. I have also noticed that on some rotations I will lose an animal, like I never get a respawn. I only shoot 1 animal per zone per rotation and aim to get a lvl 2 paired with a shooter but sometimes the other deer never comes back. However, when I finally harvested the Great One all my zones returned to normal. Very odd.
Yes but not at the same time. If you leave the first one that spawns and keep grinding, you'll get more. I've had 3 Great Ones on the map at the same time - Fallow
I still don’t have a great one yet because from halfway way last year I took a break then started playing again 2 weeks ago I’m currently still doing whitetail and I had either 7 8 or 9 diamonds and I now have 13 or 14 because I haven’t started stacking yet but what I’ve been wondering is do you have to shoot every zone you find down to your last 16 first say for instance I have 61 zones on Layton and im not sure if I have anymore yet to find would I have to manage and shoot down all 61 zones first before I’m at 8 exteriors and 8 mains with big deer sorry if this is a lot but it’s been on my mind at the moment
Don't shoot low levels anywhere in the beginning. Only after all of your exterior zones are at low levels only, then you can shoot low levels on your main zones. Gonna take a while before you shoot any low levels.
so if im grinding whitetail and i have a zone with 2 medium size males and a couple females i shouldn’t ever shoot from that zone because i have to always keep 2 males?
Hey Lady I am herd managed on te awarowa for fallow then after 314 I got my G1 after that I proceeded into my grind my fallow are respawning very inconsistntly and I would gett alot of jumper and somtimes I would miss like 10 shooter fallow and have to vist exteriors to get my respawns back this has slowed me down alot i dont know what to do
I have a question regarding not harvesting solo and "swapping them". Last week I finally finished HM (50% of male population are 2s, 20% are small 3s and I grind the rest). I basicly play untill I spawn rare/diamond, but recently I changed this rule to 3, because sometimes it was like 5mins. Now its +/- 1-1,5hour. So I would say my HM is good. But that swapping. I never did that. I was just shooting them over and over until they respawned as small ones. Why do u recommend it? Whats behind it? It will just gives higher chance of spawning solo as small one? - so less shooting less finding zones and less frustration? Also why swapping? Is there some prediction in code that male1 from zone XY5 will have higher chances to spawn as big one and male2 from zone XY3 will have higher chances to spawn as small one? Like somewhat "genetic disposition". So you would want that "better deer" in your main zone? During my HM I kinda played with it to learn how it works, so I have changed main zones during process several times. Some I didnt like (bad angle, from tent it wasnt possible to see deers etc), also I found different tent setup which allowed me to grind on one more zone. And I accidently blew up my super zone once (I think there was 4herd zones) by shooting nearby ducks :D I wrote tutorial for me how to do HM in 7steps. So for example when stacking diamonds, I reduce exterior to small ones, then when I have enough diamonds I increase my exterior zones to big 4 and some diamonds, then I deal with solo, and then reducing exterior zone to small one and then grind. For my next grind I will definitely do it differently. But from what I have experienced is that it doesnt matter which zone you pick. The only important thing is how many males are there. I am not questioning you methods (there are hundreds of ways how to do the same, some are longer, some are faster. Yours is definitely more efficient that mine.), I am just trying to understand the game. And from what I have watched and did in the game. I just have to clue why "swapping is good" and what it actually gives me. - dont make things more complicated lets talk about Fallow Deer. Also when u dont harvest animal it cant spawn as trophy, so wouldnt it speed up HM if u just dont harvest all of your exterior zones and solo so you harvest only main zones? 18:58 soo the thing is I always try to pick up my kills, but chances are that there may be at least one animal, for an example, a fallow deer on te awaroa that my dog just could not find for some reasons (Im not sure if that deer is even dead) that is laying around somewhere on my map still that I couldnt find or forgot about or something. Do those dead animals ever disappear on their own, or is there a chance that, because of that possbility, I may not be able to spawn a great one in at all? Because I cant really go over my entire map and seacrh it meter by meter for some animal(s) that may not even be there. But I also imagine that may be a problem for a lot of players. Like, when you shoot an animal and its not going down so then you move on, but it might go down like minutes later and you just dont realize?
When you don't harvest the animal and leave the game it gets sent back to either that herd or another heard. Another thing is if you get a bad shot on a high level animal, leave the game before it dies and the game treats it like it never happened. Got my first diamond fox that. Way, bad shot, left the game reset the time and he was right back at his drink zones.

So let’s say I’m hunting only 10 zones out of about 30. If I kill one deer from one of the hunt I’m consistently hunting that deer can respawn in one of the 20 that I’m not hunting? I’m just confused if I have to hunt every zone or not

I saw a video that I think you should suggest on the hunter call of the wild devs so this could be an update. They should ad some trucks that can carry multiple dogs and a drone or something for it and have like 4 dogs that you can use to hunt hogs and coyotes and they chase them down and you can get little money rewards from getting them because in real life in Utah if you kill coyotes you get a little money reward and i think it’s the same for hogs in other states and that would be a really fun way to hunt and it’s just a fast way to make money and it would be on big farm fields your dogs would chase them down so stuff that people use dogs for hunting in real life and I think it would be a really fun new addition there channel name is outdoor fever watch there coyote videos with the dogs and I think that should be a new way to hunt make this to- comments so we can try to get this added

Alligators are waaaaay better for money than crocs. Alligators rest times range from 0400-1600 so you don’t need to reset the time as often.

Gators are harder and less effective thick map
Crocs rest from 4-20so it’s 4 hours longer the reason she said 1700 is because that’s when red fox and banteng drink as well

Wait so do I want to shoot the lower levels in my main zones when starting or do I shoot mid and up in all zones when starting
