Hi Jim, thanks for this video and for sharing this tool. It is very nice because it offers a collection of bookmarks that is managed independent from different browsers and computers.
Hey Jim, what is the reason for the linkwarden network? Is it because the postgres container is not in the proxy network, and you want it and the linkwarden container to be able to communicate?
The specific benefits of this one includes taking a snapshot of the page at the time of bookmarking to avoid link rot. You can also share the links easily with other users.
Awesome, but maybe too much for my needs, but I'll keep it very much in mind as I love bookmarks tools. I think obsidian has improve a lot in taking bookmarks, but to be honest, I'm looking for a tool to help me work with my browser bookmarks. Any tips?
Thanks for listening to my request 🙌🏻 awesome work and this evenings project ❤
@@batesyboy1970 thanks for the heads up, really liking it
Which one
@kristopherleslie8343 Linkwarden setup and running within 5 minutes 💪🏻 hardest part was installing the Chrome extension
@@batesyboy1970 I’m impressed so far :) glad your request went through

Thanks for the demo and info Jim, you are SAVING the Internet one page at a time LOL
@@chrisumali9841 every little helps 😂
Exactly what i wanted. A offline storage option of a webpage or an article
@@rohithreddy75 glad it's helpful
Hadn't heard of this. Will give it a try. Thanks Jim!

Hoarder is great too!
@@LanCave awesome, I'll take a look
Did you try both? I am using Hoarder and wondering if this one is better.
Nice. Never heard of this. Like the way back machine
Yeah, it's a handy tool.
Most of the content I want to save is behind a login page so makes it unusable for me. Love to hear if there is a workaround for this.
@@HelloWorld5985 that's a good point. I will have to check (unlikely).
I have seen a few of these bookmark manager apps but I am curious how people use them. What is the specific use case?
The specific benefits of this one includes taking a snapshot of the page at the time of bookmarking to avoid link rot. You can also share the links easily with other users.
I use it to quickly grab the page for something I want to dive into more deeply later.
So that authentic is like the apps in Azure 365 where to login to some external apps you need the app secret etc?
@@TheStevenWhiting yes, kind of. It's essentially single sign on (oauth2)
You logged in with an identity provider at first, then logged in with a password to the extension but never even addressed that...
Hey, good spot, didn't even think about it but should be the same process once you've selected it from the options

i love linkwarden but i wish i could use something even easier like my obsidian vault
Thanks, I'll have to check that out.
I prefer linkding and Hoarder.
Why Hoarder? How is it better than the app in the video?
@@133col You can integrate it with OpenAI, which I find works great. I prefer the UI of Linkwarden, though 😊
@@oliverolsen620 Thanks, was only checking in on your experience, I am using Hoarder as well :)
