ONLY ONE MISTAKE you have done is, you took out capacitor and shorted its terminals in hands. "CAPACITOR MUST BE SHORT CIRCUITED (after removing terminals) --> THEN REMOVE OUT from device". Because PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TOLD TO STUDENTS IN START, OTHERWISE THEY MAY REPEAT THIS MISTAKE AND GET INJURED !!! Any ways SHABASH from Lahore on your great educational video.

Suggestions: a glass of water boiling in a menute time, more o less, and yours microwave oven magnetron works fine. Long microwave times setting can blow the fuse. So be aware that 30 cents fuse replacement fuse is all what you need. You wont to be fancy? Use a digital AC amperometer and check the current flow : 7 to 12 amp...and you are cooking with electomagnetic waves.
Informative video. Sir, I m facing problem for IFB oven. Transformer all windings ok. Fuse Ok. Megnetron continuity check ok. Capacitor and diode replaced by new one. But while checking Fuse wire burning test across filament winding not happening. Please guide.
There is a simpler and easy way of checking the transformer. Supply 229 volt at HT output points. This will work as a step diwn trabsformer. Measure the voltage at the normal input terminals. You willget output to confirm that transformer is working. Even checking continuity of windings will indicate its working.
Very nice n informative video.. need ur opinion .. I have LG 8083MLR microwave that used 1.1mfd capacitor but I am able to get 1 mfd as spare .. will it have any long term issue on other parts or is it completely ok ?
@@masif actually I replaced once with 1mfd it ran ok for 2 months but then started creating loud chit chit sound while running so I checked capacitor it showed resistance of just 0.5 mohm n 1 terminal showed ground...so I thought is it bcoz of 1mfd?
You cannot check HV Diode and HV Capacitor with any multimeter. The multimeter should have battery of 9v or more. Discharging of capacitor should be done with series resistor before touching any wires on high voltage side. HV Transf can be checked with supplying 220v on high side and measuring voltage on primary side. Anyway different people people use different approaches

Very good and informative video. You explained every aspect in details.Our Geepas microwave oven is working except heating.We inform technician,he also check by keeping water and it's not heating. He don't have any multi meter, he said everything is fine the Megatron is not working,he removed and put some old Megatron with him and a fuse below the Megatron & fan he made direct by connecting with wire. Why he made direct? Next water started heating within 30 second as before. He is asking 2500 to replace Megatron. What is cost of Megatron? He didn't check Megatron as you shown in video. I still not decided to replace or not. Later myself i checked with multimeter as you shown it's showing reading 003 if I hold continues and beep sound also coming, even I check body no sound perfectly right,I have doubts really Megatron working or not? Why he made direct to those fuse? He wants to take back our removed Megatron and said he will bring new and fix. If it's useless why he wants to take that? Please suggest your opinion. It's approximate cost. Thank you in advance, Awaiting your reply please.

This is high voltage diode in the order of 2-3 kilovolt. If connecting with the phase of 220v this connection is called single phase rectifier .output voltage will be half of it around 110v. .
Gr8 sir but one thing is important here with handling of any part of microwave like capacitor, transformer we should be follow the safety because microwave generate the high voltage so safety is necessary.

Most of the time in this case Magnetron Part faulty its repair cost around 1500 to 2000 INR
