I am all for a traditional nuclear family (biological male/female dad and mom). I think there are a lot of benefits to a child with both parents involved. And while I do hold my own religious views on not agreeing with same sex couples relationships I also agree that I would rather see a child in a same sex couple household than in a group home or abusive home or neglectful home for sure! Now that's to say as long as they aren't imposing their sexuality onto the child in a brainwashing manner. it's fine to discuss it. But it shouldn't be pushed onto the child as some do. I think the main benefit of a nuclear family (that's safe and healthy) is that the children learn both roles and how to function properly and healthily as their own sex and how to treat the other and how to expect to be treated. These roles are different in same sex households obviously vs a traditional nuclear family but it's still a million miles better to have a child in a same sex home over a dangerous or neglectful/ unhealthy home.
Here's the irony. Childfree people get called selfish for not having kids, but here we have Brian refusing to take part in any activities with his kids that he has no interest in. This is a man who should have never reproduced, and his wife isn't much better either. Kids deserve to have parents who are fully involved in their interests. I absolutely loved the gay dad couple.
My parents made it very clear that anything I did that did not entertain them or make them feel good about themselves was not worth their time. They were psychologists. I still don't entirely trust people.

It's so hard watching this. My sons are 28 and 22. Their Dad hasn't done anything with them for about 16yrs. Doesn't give a shit. It absolutely kills me when I watch my 22yr old try to engage his arsehole dad. I try to do the job to make them the main focus of my life and constantly tell them and show them how a parent should be. I think that they will be the best Dad's ever because they know how not to act. Breaks my heart I couldn't give them a real Dad. I have tried so many times to show him how to be a Dad but I have had to give up. They are the most incredible men I know.
