Best young Alfred 100% he portrayed him perfectly. When Bruce parents die Alfred wasn’t used to take care of kids and then he started to get used to it
ooh, it's a threat alright. Ever so polite, seemingly appealing to her (non existant) better nature, but the tone of voice and sense of menace is chilling
He's my favorite Alfred, he's such a gentleman and and incredible fighter and the love he has for Bruce is so sweet and believable. Top-notch acting. And he has some great funny lines too, love the names he calls people.
Love how he helped butch up after fish arrived. Got what he wanted so he no longer needed to threaten. Courteous and honourable. Excellent writing and acting.
Halfway through 2021 was not a time I expected to be obsessing over Pertwee’s Alfred again yet here I am. I feel like this Alfred and the Arkham Games Alfred would throw hands and have tea later
While I will always like Michael Caine and say this show was not the best telling of The Batman story (not the worst but not the best), this Alfred is the fucking best. He’s not the Alfred we deserved, but the Alfred we needed.
I love this Show every thing about it The character build ups the twists and turns betrayal espionage the court of owls the dollmaker falcone, the eery music the cloudy grey sky man I'm glad I got this
I love that scene with Harvey, Butch and Alfred. The way Harvey just steps back and lets Alfred do his thing. It's like he's saying without words, okay Butch I tried to be reasonable with you, but seeing as you're being an asshole about it, I'm gonna set Alfred on you.
This is the type of alfred that would shoot a guy, walk away, turn around a shoot him again, turn around, then turn around again to shoot him again, then do another for good measure.
Dude, Alfred was a Sergeant in Her Majesty's Special Air Service, and he was once an Agent for MI5. He's been kicking ass since long before any of us were born.
I swear all of the scenes I see with Alfred gave me James Bond vibes, If he ever says like: "the names Alfred, Alfred Pennyworth" that would be awsome. But Alfred is just James Bond in disguise in all of the comics he is called M-15 I believe
@Robert Morris Sean Pertwee is son of Jon Pertwee who portrayed The Doctor in Doctor Who. Timothy Dalton, who was also 007, was also in Doctor Who movie called End of Time as a villain.

Completely in love with this alfred
Def the best Alfred ever! The new pennyworth version really good as well :)
Yes!!
He's the best in dog soldiers , a must watch

Plot twist, Gotham is a sequel to dog soldiers
I like the way that Fish liked Alfred, it's because he always treated her with respect, he never talked down to her or threatened her in any way.
Always a gentlemen
ooh, it's a threat alright. Ever so polite, seemingly appealing to her (non existant) better nature, but the tone of voice and sense of menace is chilling
If he, Thomas Wayne and Jim Gordon are the composites that create Batman, then Fish was basically Alfred's Catwoman.
Sean Pertwee's portrayal as Alfred was awesome like he really made him a totally badass and truly the best butler you can ever ask for.

Me too buddy... 😄
"In Gotham people don't fight with gloves on"
Good point.
Batman Does
@@Thebigem My thoughts exactly!
After the death of his parents Alfred was not a butler to Bruce. He was a true father figure.
Alfred is such a Distinguished Gentleman.
A quintessential cheeky English cockney
My favorite Alfred, this role suits Sean Pertwee perfectly.🤗🤗🤗
God i miss this show
Same. That's why we are re-living it all again over and over on youtube lol
@@inthecityofgotham2573 yep
The boxing scene is one of the best scenes in the show
Threatens Butch with a knife and picks him up right after, what a gent.
While I will always like Michael Caine and say this show was not the best telling of The Batman story (not the worst but not the best), this Alfred is the fucking best. He’s not the Alfred we deserved, but the Alfred we needed.
I find it hilarious how Alfred is just as clueless as Bruce when they find the secret door
I love this Show every thing about it

Best Show Ever!!! Best Batman Ever!!!

Best version of the Alfred in live action
The one thing that kept me watching for so long was Alfred, but after awhile I just couldn’t as much as I loved him
Best Alfred ever
The way he melts fishes heart Damm son
This is the type of alfred that would shoot a guy, walk away, turn around a shoot him again, turn around, then turn around again to shoot him again, then do another for good measure.
I know the comic
no wonder batman is undefeated. caesar trained him.
Didn't knew Alfred is a badass until I started watching this.
Same like you.
Dude, Alfred was a Sergeant in Her Majesty's Special Air Service, and he was once an Agent for MI5. He's been kicking ass since long before any of us were born.
Dang the way alfred pushed butch🔥🔥🔥
Harvey bullock in this show reminds me of bender from futurama
lol he is quite Bender like
At certain angles and in the warm rasp of his voice he looks just like his dad. It’s uncanny. And he’s got the dramatic gravitas.
Sean's lovely, great actor too.
I love sassy alfred
I remember the scene when Bruce pushed the button and Dance of the Knights played while the world opened up. 9:27
But now I love this one
Please, I hope he can take on the role of the third doctor for doctor who's 60th anniversary, he has so much resemblance to his father
💖💓
I loved the dark night one
Literally only reason I watch is for Alfred and Bruce scenes.
I still by far LOVE the relationship between Bruce and Selina in this show
The SECOND I heard that stab happen I cussed at the screen so much the first time I watched it 😂
I like how Butch takes Alfred's hand to get back on his feet, he knew he was hard as fuck...
Why not the scene where he let's Bruce Beat up that bully. That was one of my favs
Thanks mate! ye
Just want to point out parts of this version of Alfred was based on the same guy Captain price is based off of, John macaleese
Does the Wayne Manor have any maids or cooks? Or Alfred just do it by himself?
We never see one other member of staff during the entire series of Gotham
Wayne Manor doesn't really need any maids or cooks, seeing as it's just Bruce and Alfred living there.
"You're not a woman who'd let petty self-interest outweigh honor." Oof, not aged well.
I swear all of the scenes I see with Alfred gave me James Bond vibes, If he ever says like: "the names Alfred, Alfred Pennyworth" that would be awsome. But Alfred is just James Bond in disguise in all of the comics he is called M-15 I believe
Exactly 💯 percent 👍
Alfred is the james bond of dc universe
Well he is ex-military. Specifically S.A.S.
Edit: Actually I think he was MI6
Why does Alfred sound like Captain Price
@ImpishDCrealm 🤦♂️
@ImpishDCrealm why did donnie btw put 🤦♂️because he was a ex sas soldier wasn’t he well I think in this version he is
@ImpishDCrealm ok and I’ve seen like a thing on the pennyworth show I think it was a interview basically it said Alfred was in the sas for 11 years
@ImpishDCrealm yeah but in different parts of media I think Alfred is in a different section of the army I think in one he’s a mi6 agent
@ImpishDCrealm yeah true also is pennyworth connected to Gotham
I think I liked Pertwee better than Caine!
Pertwee is most prob the most interesting and endearing Alfred yet. Def my fave!
@@inthecityofgotham2573 this whole show was underrated imho.
@@inthecityofgotham2573 I loved Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin and of course Cameron Monaghan’s Jerome/Jeremiah rocked!
@@nhmooytis7058 Corey Micheal Smith's riddler and Benedict Samuel's mad hatter

Alfred was 007 before he was a butler.
The fact he's the son of a Time Lord, its confirmed. Timothy Dalton is a Time Lord too. :)

The best buttler
1k like
It's a shame, because I know the actor who plays Bullock an easily do a new york accent. That's strongly missing from the character.
