This is a crazy one. Probably the least accessible strat so far out of all these videos. You might have to read a lot and avoid mods your builds can't do. Or just place the bomb and see what happens. Scarabs are cheap (even if they double in price, that's still 10c per map on scarabs) so if you get a nice tujen / dannig every few maps you're still making bank.
There are variants of course, you can try not-big-bomba and path around the bad mods, this will increase clear time. Tujen is insane, I got a bit lucky on divs but I did more later and even without many divs it's really good. And you could get a mirror shard! After these 50 maps I did a 27div hour tryharding (45 minute maps, 15 minute speed-Tujen) and I think I could push that to 30 if I skipped Rog / Gwennen expeditions :D

You could also setup the wealthy exile to just show items that are above X chaos (like 5) or a stack value of at least Y C (like 25c). Then its more realistic as "if you sell each single scouring etc."

Any chance of compiling a quick spreadsheet once you’re done all your starts for this series to look at your overall stats like div/h and investment, or difficulty/accessibility, if you were having fun during the strat..etc?
I am sitting at over 500 rerolls at Tujen with no divine, all done on lvl 93+ chars
I ran a ton of expedition:
1. Tujen is generally a lot of profit and is really great to have a stock of low tier currency at hand + an occasional divine (sometimes 4 at the same time) however you need A LOT of Tujen to notice it. I once got 2 divines for 300 of rerolls lol. Usually it's about 2-3 per 70 rerolls or something around it. A few times I found 2 or even 4 as one stack.
2. You can price items with scroll wheel and it's much faster. When you get a hang of it you'll be like click -> scroll -> click in half a second
3. Don't be afraid to spend, you will usually end up with artifacts left and no rerolls and I found that it's profitable to buy rerolls in that case.
4. Greater Scythe Artifacts usually go out faster because it's usually chaos orbs that require it. Feel free to spend the larger (sword) ones and the small ones on low tier currency. I usually end up with a lot of swords and no rerolls.
5. The largest artifacts are usually divines, sometimes annuls (depends on league prices if it's worth it) and rarely large stacks of chaos though I'm not sure right now. Be more careful with them but buying chaos with them is fine + you can always get more at Dannig.
6. BTW rogue is amazing and very easy. Just spend his rerolls and artifacts, they're cheap anyways. This league I crafted near perfect gloves that I still wear on my 1k divines character. I usually go for amethist rings, jewels and bases I know (which is not a lot). Once had a perfectly fine 3divine ring just laying there in his window.
7. Also BTW the logbooks are usually great money (not this league) when you remember you suddenly have like 60 of them. Just place this "medv|voran|uthred|olroth" in the search (with the double quotes) to check if there are bosses, they might somtimes be worth a crazy amount.

What build are using to run expeditions? Or what did you start running them with?
@@tosha1800 I ran them with impending doom (nerfed) then lightning arrow and tornado shot. This league it was RF Chieftain. I didn't start juicing them with new crazy +suf\pref scarabs first of course. Also don't do expeditions if you wanna level up :D they're rippy af.

Expedition has been insanely profitable since it first released, just takes more thought, a strong build, and some patience
You don't need a strong build, you need a build that can burst the monsters. So the all stars for this strategy would be something like a mine/trap build, fire, chaos or cold dot. I main cold dot and it's and all rounder, nothing impressive, but clears expeditions like crazy ( and safe ).
It feels like if you're going Chief and go for an Ignite prolif - you can cruise through these expeditions, if, there is no Fire immune (Which you will avoid on almost every build anyway).
Chief can literally obliterate the whole Expedition in one tap, and there is hundreds monsters - so it will proc everytime (You can also go for an Fulcrum for more stability, options available)

I’ve been playing a similar setup on a fulcrum chieftain. It is well suited for any form of prolif build. You kill one monster that starts the chain, the screen literally freezes, and you extract half a div a map+artifacts.
Edit: Removed 4 map slots comment. I tried it w/ 5 slots, it's even better(duh)
how you have a fulcrum but not 5 map device slots?

No matter how look at Necropolis - you have to give GGG credit for Scarab re-work and Mechanics chance change this patch. Having Delirium, Expedition and so on ON CRACK with full investment, having Beyond chain spawning in EVERY map feels awesome. You can have a blast doing whatever you want and trully focus on in. And the best part - most of those things are affortable and will only become better with, let's be honest - better league. PoE 1 this year, the year we (hopefully) will finally go into PoE 2 - is in it's best state it's EVER been.
HOWEVER.
What is now a actual question - what will 4.0 actually look and BE like? Because it HAVE to happen at some point.
Yeah, and then they go and "fix" any strat that they don't like, like the latest azurite farming from monsters. Thx for playtesting our latest league guys, next league will be a full release! (maybe)

@@rusduderus What an ignorant point to make... It is impossible for them to test every single thing before releasing. They are doing their best, but every change interacts with every system in the game. That's literally millions of implications. Even if they doubled development time and used all of it for testing, some things would be released broken.
As for "fixing" strats they "don't like": if there is something in the game that threatens to have a degenerative impact on gameplay or destroy the economy, or simply doesn't fit what ggg want the game to be, they have the duty to change it.
then they just need to put "early access" infront of every league now, problem solved xd

I've had an wild ride over the last decade (fuuuuuuuuck that's Long time to play a game come to think of it) with PoE 1, and with those 3 leagues (Affliction, Necropolis and the next one) will close the Era, since I am not far from regaining the mirror, which was my last goal for PoE 1, after which I. also will move on to new future shores with a really fond memories to carry over.
(Also the ammount of intel about the game, that we will get in the first 5 minutes of PoE 2, by just entering the town and opening stash in going be something. The Fragment, Uniques, Maps, Divs and Currency tabs will gonna tell the tale)

@@destroyermaker that setup is kinda bad unless you have something really tanky and strong essences requires high chaos res just to deal with envy essences expedition much easier to fight
when farming expedition with an attack build, it's very worth taking the "monsters cannot block your attacks" mastery. a proj build will most likely be taking multishot, which is a good place to pick up this node.

Expedition is my favorite mechanic, and I run it each league because it's easy, and you can make good items and gather good currency. Last league, I had a mirror shard and almost skiped it because I had never seen one in my 6+ years of game time. It's good that I tend to check the top item on the list.
Expedition is my go to every league, always fun, always profitable and you can even do logbooks yourself for even more income
logbooks - waste of time
Need to do logbooks to get enough artifacts to feed the reroll currency you're farming. At 19 div for 30 minutes of rolling it's worth it.

@@zoroter3657You are wrong, Expedition Logbooks has a high % chance to have the Seller specific boss when you killed him/her they drop A LOT of currency rerroll I've gotten 60+ from Gwennen but from Danning and Tujen you can get 30+ from ONE Logbook

Man I must have gotten unlucky then. Have done 200 to 250 rerolls on tujen shop and got 2 divines total, 1 at a time, a few decent gems (20% lvl 21 stuff like that) and 1 insane random ghastly eye jewel with tier 1 phys on minions, tier 2 chaos and attack speed on minions (for like 30 lesser lmao).
Good video though, did exactly this strat early on.
It could be (and most likely is) a case of you getting pretty unlucky and empty getting pretty lucky. Nearly every strat is this game (barring the crazy over the top strats like allflames) should theoretically net around the same div/hour. Really the only one that's pretty unprofitable is ultimatum, but being that this is only the second league it's back, ggg is likely still tweaking it to make it as rewarding as the rest.
I offset your luck bad luck with giga RNG. I caught Empy doing this live and jumped on it before the video inevitably spiked scarab costs and after 40 maps I ended up with 101 Tujen rerolls in which I got a 5 stack of div offered pretty early which made my total 7 raw divs with 1 div worth of chaos and 1 div worth of alts. On top of all the stuff I got from the expeditions and messing around in the maps a bit, I didn't just insta leave which added time to the strat but got me some lucky drops. My friend who likes Expedition and does quite a bit every league because he SSFs says that he gets roughly 1 div offered to him per 50 rerolls give or take which would've lined up with what I got if you remove that really lucky 5 div outlier.
Nah, that's pretty average. Did roll about 3k Tujen coins past two leagues. 1 Div per 150-200 rolls is my average aswell.

Safest way to farm Tujen is going 50% - The increasing about 10% and he will give in, in 2-3 tries.. Don't loose items like that. If he declines 3 times make sure to pay his Max offer

@@alebienes6357 I think cf champ is my favorite league starter, it gets going so easy, and is incredibly easy to farm currency for the next build. Just kinda hits a wall on damage, but early league it is so great.

The fun thing about expedition nowadays is, that rog-crafting is actually more profitable then tujen haggling. Running black scythe logbooks a couple of seasons ago, especially before the div / ex swap was so much more rewarding.
True, needs a very good character. Tried the Tsar bomba strat with my half screen perma stunner, I outright die in few hits if they connect.

What's fun is that as an RF enjoyer, I do big boom for safety anyway. As long as there's no fire immune the whole screen goes boom almost immediately, whereas normal detonation chains tend to get you killed lol.

been running exped exclusively for like 5 leagues in a row. Glad to see some hype over it. yeah you got lucky with those div offers fs. I spent 150 exotic coins in necropolis and was offered 1 div. Big rng , sometimes big payout. + juicy adrenaline rushes fighting those packs
Expedition and Tujen are called "Currency printers" for a reason - I'm so happy, that even late in the league Expedition is still strong! Big Bomba is life.
I really love these vids, I am an SSF / GSF player and I think this kind of content is great for establishing a base level expectation for mechanics

Big bomb is one of my favourite things. Before that i was rarely running expedition on maps since it took too long but big bomb is just so fun(except the times where you get uber expeditions )
if there's a divine and you're stuck, you can go on another character and it'll have its own tujen offers.

you only need to kill the boss on the 28th map
You get the invitation step after the first decision pops, or defeating the boss if you go super dry

@@yakoobski There’s a degenerate strat where you don’t roll your maps, you just spam open them and immediately leave once the first eater/exarch pack shows up. You only need to kill the boss every ~25 maps (depending on double progress procs). It was disgustingly good a few leagues ago when eater/exarch invitations were crazy expensive.
Edit: you might need to kill to e map boss at the halfway point too, I don’t remember.

Expedition was my first ssf 100. And still my only one haha. Loved that league, love the big bomb but shit gets crazy with it lol

The best that money can buy, essentially
I did T16 delirium with eater influence and harvest, used the juice to convert the deli orbs to scarab, currency and divination orbs, divination card rewards actually give stacked decks, like 6-7 per delirium if you get 6-8 reward layers, delirium scarabs of mania and paranoia.. delirium seems really good, obviously you don't have to do all that extra stuff that i did, but it netted me over 50 divs in 2 rounds of 28 maps for eater, took a long time though, 4 or so hours.
Delirium is easier if you remove the difficulty nodes and obviously don't take the crazy infinite delirium mod. The bosses aren't terribly rippy and I was speed running them w/ Niko as a boost on T16's. Strand mostly because the speed you get is crazy. I also got a few sims which I can run on a different build.
Going from all those Ultimatums to these expeditions must have felt so cathartic
GGG should change Dannig scarab to make it so immune are half effectiveness.
As a SSF player, i ALWAYS go Expedition.
I'll start of mostly essence and once i can kinda sorta do Exped with cheesing/offscreening, i'll go strait into it.

I always start bargain with Tujen from like 30% of the original price, meeting somewhere near 55%.
It also depends on your build, can you offer yourself such dangerous mobs on juiced maps and the speed of clearing the expedition. All matters. But in the end, the profit is good. I tried all mechanics in this league. The corpses are the best for me rn

You can haggle with the mouse wheel instead of clicking on the slider
He has mouse wheel bound to click like most people.
Mousewheel has probably been rebound to left click for quick dumping.
@@northo9583 You can easily add a modifier key in X-mousebutton which is the program used by Empy. I use § to scroll regularly. If this sounds inconvenient, simply flip the scheme so you hold your key only when dumping to your stash, or untoggle your bind when you know you're gonna spend an hour with Tujen 🙂

That is what i’ve done, yes. You can press scroll lock and the mouse left wheel bind will turn off, so you can scrolkwheel to haggle and the turn off scroll lock and scrollwheel to dump also.

Expedition has been great in poverty leagues like Lake of Kalandra because of its consistent bubble currency flow from Tujen and decent craft flow from Rog.
If you have a league like Affliction where so much loot drops that you filter out even raw chaos orbs - then it's no point farming it.
But in scarce loot leagues, crafting leagues - yes, it's good. Though I wouldn't go with that winged scarab cos it will disable so many builds.
Damn man you were so lucky with the divs, I didnt get a single multi div stack in around 1k coins

There is a mastery that says, monsters cannot block your attacks, is this not working with the immunity?
It works with the immunity BUT doesn't work on those guys with the translucent shields they hold in front of them.
take note, GGG even nerfed tujen stacked deck, if stacked deck not getting nerf, you will earn much more

This series is going to be the best thing for the market this league. All these cheap scarabs in my tab will finally be worth something.
this thing where you're endlessly negotiating with ten thousand prefixes you can't see and having to place and replace your explosive to avoid the immunity that bricks your build is exactly why i don't use big bomb, in the long run i feel like you don't lose all that much time placing individual explosives when you have practice at it, plus you can get more overall coverage and hit every single runic marker instead of missing 25-50% of them every time, which is how i felt whenever i tried big bomb
Expedition is just really nice in general. If you just run Tujen logbooks or Find them yourself and run those, you will make a lot of money. I have done a couple of thousands of them, so I can't look at the Tujen gamba window, but it is really damn good. IF you don't use the reroll currency - you are wasting approximately half of your profit.
If someone is really worn out talking to Tujen they can probably split the difference by writing a Regex script that highlights chaos/exalts/divines/mirror shards/stacked decks and some gems like Empower or Enlighten. I saw Empy buying out stacks of Alteration Orbs on his stream and that just isn't worth anyone's time after the first week of league start.
For those who don't know what Regex is, try pasting this in the search tab near the bottom when Tujen's window is open:

You cannot calculate dropped maps as profit without counting them as cost.
You repeatedly call these 8c maps, but they are probably closer to 18c+
If you want to count maps as profit, they must also count as cost.

Rf is fine, occultist builds profane bloom things with explode are generally pretty good. There will be builds that will excel at even low budget but it’s not something for every build out there.

expedition is truly the hardest content to run, so proud i made a build that handles it well
What build are you running?
@@tosha1800 sadly not anymore cuz my brother took my pc but basically i played necromancer SRS with super high geared animated guardian with basically 4x dmg type on SRS so i could basically perform trough all mods even with 3x immune dmg type mods on expedition. Bossing was easy, mapping was easy like 100% deli maps, i truly was invincible and all self made. Sure endgame min maxing is pricey but hey its the cost of a build that truly CAN do ALL content and mods.
Gear was Wand with 4s trigger triple offering, Shield, all perfect, Devouring diadem helm, determination or even no determination, generosity hatred skitterbots and i can't remember exactly what else, 2 sick rings, leash of oblation, 35 incr. aura effect and offering effect Body armor, boots that spawn corpses with blessing haste and i think CWDT frostblink or something like that, and super duper sick gloves with fractured +2 socketed minion lvl, and ofc res, life, chaos res, minion dmg, minion dmg implicit, and Ashes.
At its peak i had like 400 mil dps and i never stopped evolving it but i stopped playing uhhh when sentinel league stopped

I dont think it’s worth the time, just mapping and tujen will yield more. Gwennen is gamble, 10000+ astragali for a mageblood, everything else is kinda worthless atm. Rog is good early league tho.

Tujen offered me once a mirror shard, so i can confirm it can happen, but that happened like 2-3 years ago :D Also one of my rarest drops, beacuse I'm an enjoyer, no longer a try-hard player.
Expedition is amazing since its layout doesnt realy matter (if you dont use big bomba) its rather fast, its deadly but not imposible

Ye I allways start leagues with a 2 combination of expedition/essence/einhar/harvest and its allways good
i think not using nuke will cut profit by alot, because not all upsides are applied to all mobs in expedition

And if your build splits dmg you will have to go for chain bombs due to imunity
And it doesnt drop it for that much, you just gotta plan the route
you got CRAZY lucky on those tujen rolls, I have gone 70+ rerolls without getting anything more than 10c, however alterations are relatively expensive this league and the other bubblegum currency adds up so I still think rolling tujen is worth it
Loved the mechanic ever since it came out. It'an absolute blast (hehe) and a hell of a dopamine injector to your brain and soul. Appreciate the love it gets from people every now and then

What exactly is the point of Niko in this instead of idk more scarabs or whatever? Just for the dmg/ms buff? Because you don't spend the niko stuff ever, no?
the best build i've ever had to farm big bomba expedition was guardian skeleton mage, holy shit i trivialized the content so easily it was disgusting
Clearly, I am not happy about it, but very much not grampy either! Expedition has always been my second/third favourite league mechanic but it hugely depends on how good my character is. That's a great job done there.
Man, what an absurd series, I'm new to the game, I always wonder about farms, even though I'm Brazilian and know very little about English, this series is teaching me a lot and making me want to play much more.

They really need to remove "immune to" from the game. Rather just have increased resists or w/e cuz immunity is so stupid.
