Just found your channel, so nice to find another writer on TH-cam 🥰 i worked on rereading/slightly editing my urban fantasy novel and made some notes for edits later.
actually this is such perfect timing! I’m getting back into working on my novel 🤗 Ik the outline needs more work, but I’ve set up a writing group (tho it’s remote) so we can all encourage one another
a writing group sounds so fun!! that's so awesome :)
Thank you for your videos, they are such an inspiration! The Lord reminded me over and over that I'm a writer, but I just have not disciplined myself enough to get into a writing routine. I love reading too, and your writing/reading sessions sound like so much fun! I've been missing out lol!

Vee!! How can you do an entire outline in one day?!?!?! I took me MONTHS to outline my WIP. 😅 Congratulations! Also, love your idea of having a book to read in the day and a book to read at night. And reading in between writing sprints! I'd never seen that before. Normally I just walk around the house for five minutes, but I feel like reading probably gives the brain a better break. Usually I'm still thinking about my novel when I walk around. 😬 Anyway, thanks for sharing!! Love it!
honestly i think it took me a day because contemporary/romances aren’t super heavy on plot!! but sometimes it takes me longer than a day i think it just depends on the story!! also getting up and walking while thinking of your story sounds like a great way to spend time between sprints. i’m going to try that!!💕

That bookstore has so many books 🤯🤯🤯 I mean, YA and fantasy. Bookstores in my country shelve a lot more erotica romances, it's hard to find fantasy or sci-fi books if I'm being honest 😅

Vee, so great to see a writing update from you! Ooh, I feel you on the writing slumps through discovery writing. I'm having fun with discovery writing but I'm also like "hmmm it would be great if someone told me what was going to happen next" haha. But going back and making scene cards has helped me from rereading my WIP too frequently. How do you like Scrivener? I'm intimidated by the learning curve haha which could prevent me from writing...
exactly!!! you get it!😆 i love scrivener so much! before i got it, i was also intimidated by it and didn't want to have to relearn a writing software but that's where youtube came in handy! i used some youtube video guides for setting it up and stuck with the basics to start! i feel like i'm still constantly learning new tools and upgrades for it but even familiarizing yourself with the basics is a great start :) i love the versatility of it so much!

What a productive day! And I've never actually heard of writing reading sprints, it's a very interesting idea. I think I'm going to need to try it! Do you ever get absorbed in a book and have trouble switching context back to your writing?
honestly, usually i have a clear image of the voice for my novel that i can complete disassociate from the book when jumping back into my own writing!! i do, however, find that if i'm reading a book in a different genre (say fantasy when i'm writing a romance) is that sometimes i'll be so absorbed in the fantasy that when i return to my writing i start using more lyrical prose when that's not really the style for a romance novel😂 that's why i try to stick to books within the same genre!
Another great vlog…they always get me so motivated. I was wondering what MacBook you’re using and if you’re happy with it because I’m also thinking about getting one.

it can be so hard to stay motivated with life being so chaotically busy ahaha but having writing goals and a writing community really really helps keep me motivated!
