Next you will have to plan your postpartum capsule wardrobe because you're going to want to focus on comfort and accessibility for nursing or pumping if you plan to do that.
My baby boy is 8 weeks old and I am fitting into a lot of my pre pregnancy clothes but limited by the nursing factor.
You are looking great! I wish you and your baby a smooth labor, delivery, and recovery!

Congrats on your baby boy! I have been giving this postpartum wardrobe more thought lately as I am hoping to nurse until I go back to work and then I will pump as much as possible! I appreciate your kind words. We are in the home stretch and she will be here soon!

I love the pink coloured shawl/wrap with the fringing, very pretty and versatile!

That was such a random find, but I have been loving it too. Recommend that for any lady's wardrobe.

I just need to share, sorry that out of the topic, that I struggle with finding balance between an elegant and guite conservative style that I adore and the more fresh, fun style appropriate for new adult. My best friend told me today that in my definitely favourite outfit I looked like a granny and I know that people have different taste but that actually hurt me and showed me that I still don’t know how to balance that „granny look” with more fresh and fun and casual style. I love Your style Leisha because You manage to keep it fresh and not boring yet elegant in its own way. I know that these are only clothes and if I like mine I should wear them but I am really doubtful if I chose the right direction that my style goes. And the words of my friend left me upset. I’m sorry, I just needed to put it out there

Hi Ada! I wanted to encourage you to wear what makes you feel beautiful and happy with your style. I don't think that it has to be all figured out, especially if you are in the middle of your own personal transformation, so I accept that I am still learning what I like and what makes me look and feel my best. While I always take a suggestion or criticism about my style and evaluate it, when I've already accepted that style is a work in progress, the comments of others don't really bother me as much as they used to. Sometimes I wear things just to see what the feedback will be! The important thing is to enjoy the process. Hope that you are having a lovely week and thank you for sharing 💞💞💞

@@LeishaLevelingUp Oh, tkank You so so much! You are always lovely when You respond to my comments. You have a great mindset about it - work in progress and learning about what You like. I never though that way. Thank You

Ada Galant I want to acknowledge that I feel that pain of your friend's comment. I know exactly where you are coming from, you describe everything so well. I have learned tons about style, I've really put the hours in to it over the last 3 years and I have improved my skills enormously, I now feel I'm almost on a par with someone who has a basic level of natural flair for it (I've just taken the scenic route!). I'd love to see your outfit, I bet there's just a little thing that could be tweaked to nail it - if indeed that is needed, your friend might be completely alone in her view. Can you get some honest opinions from people who you feel have a sense of what style suits them, to get more of a consensus? All the best! 🙂

@@rachelmaxwell5953 I have worked for almost two years to work on my style because I don’t have that natural sense of style that some might have. But I started to like clothes that my peers don’t wear - so does it make me look like samoeone older? Unfortunately yes and that is why I look not fresh and fun but more matture and at the same time boring. I could e-mail You the photo of my outfit if You want to see it: navy chino, cream wool kardigan and cream top and the second, better outfit: beige trousers, white top and the same cardigan

Styles have changed a lot - in the 1990s, smock style was usual - with detailing around the upper top area to distract from the bump. I was really careful to choose stuff that didn't show a popped out navel, as I thought that was too personal. I had jeans, leggings with 4-5 nice tops, some in dark colours.
I never touched my bump as it seemed too personal a gesture.
I also made sure I never got too hot, as apparently the baby can't regulate to keep cool, so my exercise was swimming (until I got told to stop as it was causing false contractions early).
The first 6 weeks after the birth is a big adjustment, as each baby is different (mine wouldn't breastfeed so was onto a bottle very soon), and both parents learning how to bath and change nappies gently.
I had a female friend or family member stay with me up until the 6 week mark, not to do the baby, but helped with housework and general support and advice.
The other big adjustment is to expect the unexpected with your body - each body has different recovery issues and that takes time and energy too.
One weird thing I got was extremely dry skin, it was itchy and scaling all over. I went to a beauty salon for an oil body massage which fixed it.
Also, none of the slightly larger clothes I planned to wear after the birth fit me, I had gained 10 kilos I found out later. Nothing I owned fit me so I had to go clothes shopping immediately - got leggings and long loose tops.
Sorry a bit long, hope you have a great time. I never thought of myself as a mumsy type, but my daughter has been the most interesting, fun, personal development thing I have ever done in my entire life and I feel so blessed and lucky.

I purchased these black suede boots from Nordstrom - they are the Lucky Brand Jolna knee high boot! I am wearing them again this season. They are fantastic.
