    3/8” and 10mm are CLOSE but NOT the same size. 3/8” is a tad smaller. Enough so that a 10mm socket will strip out a 3/8” nut and a 3/8” socket will not fit on a 10mm nut. There is also a slight difference between 9/16” and 14mm but usually they work in place of each other on new, non oxidized nuts.

  • @morganstanley2344

    You used the speedout wrong. I use these at work all the time. You didn't drill deep enough and you have to apply considerable pressure at very slow speed on the extraction side. Also metric and SAE sizes are different enough that that tool is not going to be anything more than an emergency tool when you don't have a real set.

  • @wwejason
    @wwejason 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Speedout takes some finesse. After seeing that the small extractor wouldn't grab, don't re-drill with the next size up. Just use the extractor end.

    *AIR HAWK REAL WORLD USE:* I have been using the Air Hawk handheld compressor thing for my car tires for multiple months now, consistently, every two or three days to fill one of my car tires up from about 12-22psi back up to 32psi, because I had a nail in one of my tires' sidewalls, so I knew it couldn't be fixed by a shop and I was just putting off getting new tires once I discovered the exact rate at which the tire lost air, and just started pumping it back up in 2-3 day intervals. So I bought the Air Hawk on a whim while I was in Rite Aid and thought, "you know, if I get even just a few weeks of use out of this I will be happy." It still works 100% to this day. I'm genuinely impressed, as I fully expected it to burn out by now. It does take a bit if the tire is very low or flat (if you have expectations of this cheap little thing being fast, you need to re-think your views on realistic expectations, plain and simple), but even from flat the battery has enough juice to get the tire pumped up to spec, and in my situation, beat the hell out of overpaying for compressed air at the gas station. During longer inflates, the top of it where the air is being rapidly compressed does get hot after a while, but like I said, nothing has burned out or melted yet. I definitely feel like I put it to much more use than it probably was designed for, so I'm pretty satisfied with the low-cost purchase I made from the As Seen On TV isle that day. Had low, realistic expectations but it definitely exceeded it
    Obviously, your mileage may vary, and I do not condone driving your vehicle with unsafe tire pressures/conditions.
    I recently finally got all four new tires, so now I just have it in my car for emergencies or easy filling of other air things.
