replacing the Diaphragm on Mikuni Carburetor Suzuki GS450L

I finally got the parts in to repair my motorcycle. I'm pulling off the old diaphragms from the slides and replacing them with new rubber ones. This is for a 1981 Suzuki GS450L motorcycle

Much easier to do than the Keihins, which need a credit card and crossed fingers.

I'm replacing mine on my 82 gs1100.. sooo hard to get them in between the rings and they sit higher than the old ones so it's going to be hard getting them to seat and screw them down without pinching the seal. Seems like everyone else is having an easier time lol

If diaphragm is oversize, you raise slider up creat an umbrella effect,with other hand put lid on carb.Good vid Thanks.

I guess I would ask how do you keep the slide tube rotation correct with the ports?

If I remember correctly you look at the old one before you take it off and then you put the new one on the exact same way.. I was nervous about that but it seemed to work out right
