    Once again you show us what a true craftsman you are, amazing work!!! That table saw is the cats meow, those small pieces would’ve been in my neighbors yard if I tried to cut those slivers. I am currently working on the diamond bowl you did and I made the diamond pieces too big, it looked like you did about 1 1/2 cuts on the 32 degrees which makes for a 3” segment piece. Now my diamond ring is 11 1/4 lol. Guess I’ll shape it to look like a bucket. J/k Maybe you can show a quick measurement of your segment pieces in your videos, that would help a ton. Thanks again..

      This one of yours has me wanting to do a feature ring. I have the Lamination Pro but I want to make a bowl based on a feature ring I used on a large vase which I did not use software for. I made it before I did videos so I would like to do something similar to it.
      It will be down the road though.
      Meanwhile I will enjoy watching yours.

    It was interesting how you cut the segments. I also use the woodturner pro and LaminationPro software but when trying to cut long lamination strips and then fold/flip then results were not very clean. Your approach ends up with the same segments as I did but I wonder if you have better precision your way

    • @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft
      @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ed, thanks for watching. Actually, truth be told, this one didn't come out perfect. I had some diamonds that were way off. I tried in every way to make sure that they didn't, but they were off some. I'm thinking it all starts when cutting the strips. Man, they have to be dead on. Also, if there's any bow in the strip, it has to be addressed by making sure that there is complete and even thickness on the strip before gluing. I will probably make this design again soon, and when I do, I'm going to use thicker strips. I'm not sure if any of this helps you, but I hope it does. Dan

    Huge fan, I have been a subscriber and have been watching for awhile!!! Your work has inspired me to try my hand at segmented turning. I have always enjoyed the creativity you share with your TH-cam fans, and I am always happy to see what you have created every time I see that you have posted a new video. I also have the same Nova 16/24 lathe that is my first "adult size" lathe. I noticed that you do not seem to need to adjust the drive belts to vary the speed with which you are turning??? I have a couple of questions... Is that an upgraded motor? Can you still run the lathe in reverse? And are you still able to rotate the headstock if needed? I am just curious. I am still new enough to to turning and I have yet to really utilize my Nova 16/24 to its fullest potential. However, I am turning something almost every day that I am off of work, and it brings me peace and relaxation that soothes my busy mind... Thanks again for sharing, and I look forward to your next amazing creation!!!

    • @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft
      @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Matkir, thank you so very much. Yes, that motor upgrade is available from Nova. I love it! Yes, you can reverse and turn the headstock. No more belt changing! Thank for watching!

    Esse tem muita ciência, pois cortou e colou várias vezes para formar o desenho desejado a tornear. Nível alto é preciso concentração e muita prática para não se perder em cada paço da construção do objeto.

    • @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft
      @LivingstonBrothersWoodcraft  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark, thank you. Yes, I am very happy with my Rockler sled. It took some adjusting. I've heard some other guys express some disappointment, but I'm not sure if they checked to see if their blade was parallel to the surface. Actually, my cabinet saw table top was slightly off. Once I got that right, the sled was easy to setup. So far, I've had zero problems. Oh, and it's on sale right now I think.
